Samsung Q1 2022: Another quarterly revenue record, 50.5% YoY profit increase, strong Galaxy S22 series sales

Samsung has reported its earnings for Q1 2022 that ended March 31, 2022 in which the company posted 77.78 trillion won ($61.2 billion approx.) consolidated revenue, up 18.94% YoY which is a new record for the third consecutive quarter. It made an operating profit of 14.12 trillion won ($11.12 billion approx.), up 50.53% YoY. Qualcomm’s custom Nuvia processors for Windows PCs now expected in late 2023

Qualcomm purchased Nuvia in July 2021, which is a company that used to specialize CPU and technology design. At the Investor Day 2021 in November, the company said that it will start building its own chips for laptops in 2022. Samsung Galaxy M53 5G Unboxing and First Impressions

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy M53 5G as the successor of the Galaxy M52 5G in India. Apple Self Service Repair starts rolling out in the US

Apple has finally started rolling its Self Service Repair programme, after it was announced in November last year. This will provide repair manuals as well as genuine Apple parts and tools to people who want to repair their iPhones themselves via the Apple Self Service Repair Store. This action corresponds with initiatives to broaden access to repairs. Later this year the program will also include manuals, parts, and tools to perform repairs on Mac computers with Apple Silicon.
