Microsoft confirms WP7 app compatibility with Windows Phone 8

Via a blog post , Microsoft’s Larry Lieberman reassured developers around the world and confirmed that all current Windows Phone apps will continue working with future versions of the fledgling operating system. Backwards compatibility is a sign of “commitment to the developers” according to Lieberman.

HTC to stop bundling Beats headphones

As part of its ongoing efforts to increase sales and combat dropping revenues , HTC plans to stop bundling in Beats headphones with their a majority of their handsets. According to HTC , users were not buying the phones specifically for the Beats headphones and that resulted in unnecessarily increasing handset prices compared to competitors.

BlackBerry PlayBook with 4G images surface

BlackBerry PlayBook with 4G images has surfaced online dubbed as BlackBerry 4G PlayBook. Sprint already canceled their plans to sell 4G WiMax version of the PlayBook last year and decided to go with LTE. RIM has already confirmed they would launch 3G/HSPA+ and 4G PlayBooks in the future. HTC One X Unboxing Pics and Video

The HTC One X is now available in India at an MRP of Rs.42999 ouch and you can grab one at a store for much lesser at around Rs.37000 according to few shops who are stocking the handset. The HTC One X is the first Quad Core phone to launch in India and it is also the first phone to launch in India running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (Samsung Galaxy Nexus is still not officially launched). The retail package is not similar to the ones we saw in France but slightly different. Take a look at the unboxing video below.
