The LG Optimus L3 II Dual (E435) and the Optimus L7 II Dual (P715) officially launched in India earlier this month. The Optimus L5 II dual (E455) is now available from online retailer Infibeam in India. It has a 4-inch (800 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5 MP camera with LED Flash. Idea AURUS 2 with 1 GHz processor, Android 4.1 launched for Rs. 6490

Idea Cellular has launched the AURUS 2, successor of the first AURUS phone that was launched last year. It has a 3.5 inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display similar its predecessor, but this runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1 GHz processor, instead of 800MHz processor. It has a 3.2MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. It is aimed at 3G users in semi-urban and rural markets. Micromax A111 upcoming Canvas series smartphone images, specifications leak

Micromax unveiled the A116 Canvas HD, the company’s latest flagship back in January. Images of the A115 Canvas 3D surfaced earlier this month, now images of the another smartphone in the Canvas series, the Micromax A111 has appeared online. According to MMXNewscaster, the phone would feature a 5.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display with 5 point multi-touch that would also let you operate the phone with gloves. The phone would be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225Q processor and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It would come with a 8MP rear camera with dual LED Flash and a 1.2MP front-facing camera. It would also have a 3D Graphics Accelerator. Nokia ships 5.6 million Lumia smartphones in Q1 2013

As part of its quarterly earnings report, Nokia has revealed its device shipments for the 1st quarter of 2013. Reporting an operating loss of $150 million, the Finnish smartphone manufacturer has declared 30% lower shipments. Nokia to launch a phablet in 2013, Lumia with 41MP camera coming in July, says The FT

Nokia is working on a large sized phablet that would launch later this year, according to a recent report from The Financial Times. The report also says that Nokia plans to launch a Lumia PureView device equipped with a 41MP sensor similar to the Nokia 808 is expected to come in July. Nokia Catwalk with aluminium body images surface

First alleged images of the Nokia’s upcoming Windows Phone device codenamed Catwalk has surfaced online. This would be a follow up to the Lumia 920, but it would reportedly come with a aluminium body, making it thinner and lighter than the Lumia 920. Specifications of the device surfaced earlier this month. Renders of the Lumia 928 codename Laser with Xenon Flash for Verizon USA surfaced earlier this month.

Outlook app for Android updated with new UI and features

Microsoft has updated the Outlook.com application for Android with a completely new user interface and lot of new features. This is a major update since the launch of the app back in November 2012. The new update bring a simple user interface similar to the Windows 8 and the outlook.com web application. Additionally this update also adds new features including conversation threading, filters for unread and flagged mail, as well as the ability to mark messages as junk. Vodafone India has partnered with ICICI Bank to launch M-Pesa, a mobile money transfer and payment service. It offers a simple and secure way to transfer money and make payments with the security of financial transactions provided by ICICI Bank. Vodafone India through its subsidiary, Mobile Commerce Solutions Ltd. (MCSL) and ICICI Bank announced the M-Pesa back in November 2012. Sony launched the Xperia SP in India last week at an MRP of Rs. 27490. The phone is now on sale from online retailer Infibeam. The Sony Xperia SP was announced last month and packs a 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960Pro processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor and a VGA front-facing camera. It also comes with pre-loaded Sony Music music streaming app that would offer 6 months unlimited music streaming and the Sony LIV video streaming app that would let you watch over 77 Sony TV shows. Amazon Android App Store coming to 200 countries including India

Amazon has announced that they would expand their App Store for Android to more than 200 countries including India, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, Papua New Guinea, Vatican City and more. Amazon is asking the international developers to submit their apps through the Amazon Mobile App Distribution Portal, and these apps would be available when the Amazon App Store for Android launches internationally. The Amazon app store for Android was first launched in the U.S back in 2011. The Android app was updated to support ICS devices back in January 2012.
