LG G2 global roll out begins in September starting from the US and Germany

LG unveiled the G2, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at an event in New York last month, now the company has announced that they would roll out the smartphone in   the United States and Germany starting in  September. The LG G2 has a edge-to-edge 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display with minimal bezel, powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Microsoft agrees deal to buy Nokia Devices and Services Division

In a deal that would surprise noone in it’s happening but everyone in it’s timing, Microsoft will be acquiring Nokia’s Devices and services division in addition to licensing a significant portion of Nokia’s patents in addition to their mapping services. The deal in it’s entirety amounts to 5.4 Billion Euros paid in cash, 3.79 Billion for devices and services 1.65 Billion for the associated patents.

The transaction will see 32,000 Nokia employees transitioned over to Microsoft including 4,700 in Finland and 18,300 employed in manufacturing positions worldwide. In addition, a significant number of senior executives are expected to be transferring to positions within Microsoft, including Stephen Elop, Jo Harlow, Juha Putkiranta, Timo Toikkanen, and Chris Weber.

This is an absolutely monumental transaction and will go a long way towards shaping the smartphone landscape for years to come.  We will keep you updated with any details as we receive them.

Meizu MX3 with 5.1-inch 1080p display, octa-core Exynos 5 processor announced

Meizu has just announced the MX3 in China after several rumors. It is the successor of the MX2 that we reviewed recently. The MX3 has a 5.1-inch (1800 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with 415 PPI resolution, powered by a octa-core Exynos 5410 processor and runs on Flyme OS 3.0. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony Exmor RS BSI sensor,  f/2.0 aperture and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Acer Iconia A3 with 10.1-inch HD display, quad-core processor, Android 4.2 announced

Acer announced the Iconia A1 tablet with a 7.9 inch display back in May, now it has announced the Iconia A3 tablet with a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS diplay. The Iconia A3 is also powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core cortex A7 processor (probably MediaTek) and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing camera. It comes in Wi-Fi-only and 3G + WiFi variants. It has Dolby Digital Plus that would offer 5.1 channel surround experience over headphones. No word on RAM and the battery capacity yet. Google launched their new $35 dongle at the July 24th event where they also unveiled their new Nexus 7 along with Android 4.3. Among the major announcements, the tiny little dongle that goes by the name of “Chromecast” was the talk of the tech industry for a while. Acer Liquid S2 with 6-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 processor and 4K video recording announced

Acer has announced the Liquid S2, successor of the Liquid S1 that was unveiled back in June. The Acer Liquid S2 would be the first phone to record videos at 4K Ultra HD resolution with it’s 13-megapixel rear camera that has a LED ring flash. It has a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels), IPS display at 368 PPI, powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It also has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera with-wide angle lens and 1080p full HD video recording. The Acer Float UI allows several Float app windows to stay open for better multitasking. iBall Andi 4.7G Cobalt Review

iBall has launched a lot of Android smartphones in India for a while now and it is yet to make the mark that others like Micromax or Karbonn have been able to make. Things could change very soon for Mumbai based iBall with the launch of their recent iBall Andi 4.7G Cobalt.

The iBall Andi 4.7G Cobalt has the right mixture of specifications and pricing to make it a successful, but only if people knew of its existence. It is a typical mid-range phablet that has the specifications and pricing resembling other devices, but is different in its own way. Micromax Canvas Fun A76, the first phone is the Canvas Fun series went on sale online couple of weeks back, now the Canvas Fun A74 is available from online retailers Snapdeal and Saholic. It has a 4.5-inch (480 x 854 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Micromax Canvas Fun A63 has appeared on the official Micromax website. It has a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Other features are mostly similar to the Canvas Fun A74.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 210 now available in India for Rs. 12399

Samsung launched the Tab 3 211 with 3G support and voice calling last month, along with the Tab 3 310 and 311. Now the Galaxy Tab 3 210, Wi-Fi variant of the tablet is available from online retailer Snapdeal. It has a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3-megapixel fixed focus rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It doesn’t have a SIM card slot or voice calling capabilities like the Tab 3 211. iBall had launched the Andi 4a Projector phone that appeared on the official website last week. It has a 4.0-inch (480×800 pixels) display, powered by 1 GHz Dual-Core Cortex A9 Processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel Auto focus camera with flash and a front-facing camera for video calling. It has 35 lumens projector that allows users to project instantly up to 10 feet by 8 feet  in VGA (480 x 640 pixels) resolution. The projector has a contrast ratio of 1200:1. Motorola Moto X Unboxing

The Moto X is the all new Motorola phone designed and manufactured in the US and it is one first few phones to come out of a Motorola owned by Google. The Moto X was announced on Aug 1st after numerous leaks. The Moto X is currently on sale only in the US on AT&T and through Motorola’s MotoMaker website. It is not going to be available in India or any other market anytime soon, so we managed to get one from the US just for you guys because at the end of the day we love technology and think that great products should be available globally to anyone interested. So presenting the Motorola Moto X Unboxing , probably one of the first unboxings of this device from outside the US and pretty much the first in India !

LG G Pad 8.3 announced with Full HD display, Snapdragon 600 processor

LG had been teasing an upcoming tablet known as the G Pad 8.3 and today in Seoul , the company has finally taken the wraps of the LG G Pad 8.3 Android tablet and it does look like the big brother of the LG G2 smartphone which debuted recently. The GPad will be showcased at IFA 2013 in Berlin this week and true to its name it packs a 8.3 inch display with a massive 1920×1200 resolution similar to the resolution of the screen on the new Nexus 7 2013. On the inside it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Quadcore Processor running at  1.7GHz. LG has managed to pack a 4600 mAh battery into this device which is only about 8.3 mm thick and still weighs only about 338 grams. It runs on Android 4.2.2
