Ever since Xiaomi, the popular smartphone manufacturer from China, laid out plans for expansion to Singapore, we knew that India was coming. As a confirmation to this, we have a Cnet interview of Hugo Barra talking about the company’s impending entry into the burgeoning Indian smartphone market and a tweet from the head of Google India, who had a meeting with Xiaomi’s Lin Bin and Hugo Barra as a part of the ongoing initiative. Xiaomi recently launched in Singapore, its first market outside China, and looks to expand rapidly to become a true global player.

HTC is all set to unveil the All New HTC One in less than 10 hours . The company has released two new apps, HTC BlinkFeed and HTC Service Pack on Google Play. These apps doesn’t work with the HTC One yet (may be it’ll need the Sense 6.0). Google is definitely considering the wearable market as its next battleground and it is equipping itself in the process. Earlier in 2013, Google announced that they will be launching the Explorer Edition of Google Glass for $1500 and eventually it will come to the market at a much lower price point. Last week, they announced Android Wear SDK for wearables(read smartwatches).
NVIDIA isn’t having much of a success with the smartphones and it is evident from the meagre adaptation of its chipsets in smartphones. The NVIDIA Tegra 4i was announced towards the end of 2013 and there hasn’t been a single smartphone in the market with it. But it looks like finally someone has adapted and we will be seeing the first NVIDIA Tegra 4i based smartphones from a French manufacturer Wiko.

OnePlus is a company formed by ex-Oppo employees and they have been hard on their product for sometime now. They have been teasing their upcoming smartphone – OnePlus One on social media since MWC and have been unveiling bits and pieces of information about the device all while.

Panasonic has unveiled HX-A500 (A500), the company’s first wearable camera with 4K (3820×2160 pixels) video recording at 25fps. It has WiFi and NFC support to connect the camera to a smartphone or tablet so that you can remotely control the video camera and also share images and videos easily. LG introduced Knock Code with the LG G Pro 2 earlier this year. This is a unique feature that lets users unlock the phone via a customized “knock” pattern. This feature is present in the F Series, L Series III devices and the LG G2 mini. Today LG has announced that it would bring this feature to its earlier smartphones models via a firmware update starting in April.
