Samsung schedules health-focused event on May 28th

Samsung Health event

Samsung has scheduled an event in San Francisco on May 28th to discuss about something related to Health. Since this comes from Samsung’s Semiconductor arm, it could be related to forthcoming sensors and components, rather than some new fitness device, says Engadget that received the invite. Samsung launched its new Gear devices, including the Gear Fit, a smartband recently. All these accessories have Heart Rate sensor to monitor the heart rate.

The Galaxy S5 also has a Heart Rate sensor on the back. Samsung S Health was available for the past few features to measure steps and other things, and the heart rate feature is integrated in the new S Health 3.0 for the Galaxy S5. Samsung could unveil new Health-related apps at the event or detail the Health-released features in all the new Gear accessories.

Apple has scheduled the WWDC 2014 event on 2nd of June, where the company is expected to unveil the Health Book app along with the iOS 8 and a fitness hardware with software partners. We just have to wait for few more week to find out what Samsung plans to unveil at the event.
