It’s been a week since we started our blind test polls for the “Best Smartphone Camera of 2013” and we have decided to reveal the line up and the results today. Why today? Well there are a couple of reasons for that. One, You, the readers have unanimously voted for Lumia 1020 as the best of the lot. Two, today is 10-20-2013(MM-DD-YY), and Nokia have decided to name this the International Mobile Photography day. So, we couldn’t find it any more befitting that the results be announced today. Reliance launches new US International Roaming pack for post-paid customers

Reliance Communications (RCom) has launched International Roaming Pack – Awesome America for its post-paid GSM customers.Reliance says that the pack would save up to 98% on data usage and up to 76% on voice calls while travelling to America. The pack costs Rs. 849 and comes with a validity for 30 days. You pay Rs. 10 for 1 MB of data usage while roaming in the United States. Nokia has named October 20th as International Mobile Photography Day, and recommend mobile users to snap a photo  on the first International Mobile Photography Day that is dedicated to capturing all those once-in-a-lifetime, unexpected moments. Nokia launched the Lumia 1020 in India recently, which is the world’s first smartphone to feature a 41-megapixel camera sensor along with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). To mark the occasion, Nokia India announced a special initiative for its Indian consumers and photography enthusiasts. Microsoft Remote Desktop app comes to iOS and Android

Recently, we brought you the information that Microsoft is planning to launch an app for Android and iOS devices that will let the users remotely control their Windows machines. Today, Microsoft went ahead and launched the app for Android and iOS. A lot of third-party applications were available for the same and now Microsoft has pushed out an official app to smoothen things out.

Uber comes to Delhi

Uber, a technology company in the Silicon Valley of US, is expanding its cab rides service globally and the latest addition to their list of cities is India’s capital – New Delhi. Delhi will be Uber’s second city in India after Bangalore and they are expecting that it will be their biggest market in the country.Uber is available as an Android and iOS app. By using Uber, users can request a ride and they will be picked up within minutes. At launch, Uber will be concentrating on Central and South Delhi along with some parts of Gurgaon. Intex launched the Aqua i4 and Aqua HD last month, now two new smartphones, Cloud X5 from the Cloud series and Aqua N2 in the Aqua series has surfaced on the official website. The Cloud X5 is the successor of the Cloud X4, but it lacks 3G support present in the Cloud X4. Other features are almost similar including a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor. The Intex Aqua N2 has a 4.0-inch (800 ×480 pixels) WVGA capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. Advantage Computers India (Adcom) has launched new smartphones, A-350i and A-400i in the Adcom Thunder Smart Phone Series. The company launched  6 new smartphones, A-530 HD, A-500, A-450, A-430, A-400, A-350 in the Adcom Thunder Smart Phone Series back in May. The A-350i is an entry-level smartphone that has a 3.5-inch HVGA screen and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The A400i has a 4-inch HVGA display and runs on Android 4.0 (ICS). Both these smartphones are powered by a 1 GHz processor and have dual SIM support with dual standby. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Review

“Too huge!”, “Impossible to use as a phone!”, “A failed experiment..” they said, and a new category of smartphones was born. Deepak Mehrotra, CEO of Micromax India has quit to join Pearson as the new Managing Director for its India business, reports The Hindu Business Line. Deepak joined Micromax back in December 2011 as the Chief Executive Officer. Prior joining Micromax he served as Operations Director for North, West and South regions at Bharti Airtel, where  he was also involved in the deployment of the MNP strategy and 3G rollout plan. The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7″ tablet got a price cut in India last month, now Amazon has reduced the price of the Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ tablet as a part of limited period festive offer. It was announced last year and was launched in India back in June at a price of Rs. Rs. 21,999  and Rs. 25,999 for the 16GB and 32GB variants respectively . It has a 8.9-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) display with 254 ppi, powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core OMAP4470 CPU with 299 MHz PowerVR SGX544 GPU and  runs on a forked version of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Micromax has also teased their upcoming smartphone, the Canvas Turbo in a video, which would be launched soon.
