HTC monthly revenue drops 36.4% YoY in February

HTC has reported their unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$ 7.2 billion (US$238 million)  for February 2014 , down by 36.45% YoY, compared to NT$ 11.3 billion in February 2013. Total unaudited consolidated revenue for January and  February 2014 is NT$ 16.9 billion. Last month the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer reported revenues of NT$ 42.9 billion for Q4 2013, a 28% drop YoY in terms of revenue. Nokia X can now access Google Play Store, unofficially ofcourse

Nokia X was launched less than a couple of weeks, but it has already been hacked. That is the thing about Android smartphones – you can get root user access and do things that wouldn’t be otherwise possible. As rumored, Nokia introduced an Android smartphone at MWC 2014, but with their own restrictions. Nokia had completely removed Google from the equation and pushed a lot of its own code and Nokia X series devices use Microsoft’s services instead of Google.

Apple launches two-week trial offer for iPhone in India

MapmyIndia, popular for its GPS navigation and location-based services has launched MapmyIndia Smart Mirror, the company’s latest navigation device that also acts as a rear view mirror. You can use it as a rear view mirror or a reverse camera screen. It also has a MapmyIndia Navigator for an assisted driving experience. Last year the company launched MapmyIndia Connect, a device enables users to mirror their smartphone or tablet screen to the screen of their choice. LG has just announced at the LG Tech Show 2014 event that the company would launch the LG G2 4G LTE version in India mid-March 2014. It would be priced at Rs. 46,000 for the 16GB variant and Rs. 49,000 for the 32GB variant. The 3G variant of the LG G2 was launched in India back in September last year starting at Rs. 41,500. Apple CarPlay announced, integrates iPhone with your car for calls, maps and music

Apple has announced CarPlay, the company’s new in-car entertainment feature. When integrated with iPhone, it lets users to take phone calls, use maps, listen to music and access messages using voice or touch controls. The CarPlay would be demoed by Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo at the Geneva Motor Show later this week. Apple demoed the iOS in the Car feature on iOS last June. Samsung unveiled the Gear 2 and the Gear 2 Neo at the Mobile World congress in Barcelona earlier this week. We managed to do a hands-on comparison between the two. Even though the Gear 2 has the same 1.63 inch  (320 x 320 pixels) Super AMOLED display, this offers vibrant colors. This one is powered by Tizen OS, so the navigation is much faster than the Android-powered Galaxy Gear. Samsung Gear 2 Neo Hands On

Samsung Gear 2 Neo

Samsung unveiled the Gear 2 Neo along with the Gear 2 at the MWC 2014. The Gear 2 Neo is a cheaper version of the Gear 2 with plastic build and also lacks the camera. It has a 1.63 inch  (320 x 320 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by Tizen OS. It is 10.0 mm thick, similar to the Gear 2, but weighs 55 grams, about 13 grams lighter than the Gear 2.
