HTC is having a presence at the MWC 2014 despite not launching its flagship smartphone here. At the event, HTC launched a couple of mid-range Android smartphones – HTC Desire 816 and HTC Desire 610. Among the two, the HTC Desire 610 is the more humbly speced device with a moderate spec sheet.
SanDisk Ultra 128GB microSDXC memory card announced for smartphones and tablets
SanDisk Corporation has announced the company’s new 128GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I (Class 10) memory card for smartphones and tablets at the MWC 2014. This is the world’s largest capacity microSD card for smart devices. The first 128MB micro SD card was launched in 2004, it took just 10 years to bring memory capacity of 128GB. HTC is holding an event at the MWC 2014 where it will not be announcing its next flagship, but it hasn’t come empty handed. HTC has just announced a couple of Android smartphones. One among the two is the HTC Desire 816. HTC Desire 816 is the International variant of the HTC Desire 8 which HTC had announced a few weeks back in China. HTC Desire 610 with 4.7-inch qHD display, Snapdragon 400 processor announced
HTC has unveiled the Desire 610, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone along with the Desire 816 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It has a 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 6.0 on top. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

HTC Desire 816 Hands On
HTC’s announcements at the Mobile World Congress revolved around their Desire series of handsets. The two devices announced ie the Desire 816 and 610 vary wildly in their target audience but do emphasize the focus on quality that HTC has maintained despite aiming to reach ever lower price points. The upper end device of the two ie the Desire 816 is the most powerful phone in the Desire series of phones and opts for a design that closely mimics the flagship ie the HTC One. HTC has unveiled the Desire 816, the company’s latest phablet at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android with HTC Sense 6.0 on top. Hands on with the Nokia X+: 10 EUR brings extra RAM and storage
Nokia’s Android phones are here and they are real. They launched three new Android devices and a Asha and a Nokia feature phone each, with the Android phones being the obvious highlight. A few years ago, one would never have imagined Nokia going down this after, especially after February 11 happened, but here we are, going hands on with Nokia’s own Android devices. Sort of a dream come true for many, we scrambled to try and get some decent time with all the devices and so here are our thoughts about the newly launched Nokia X+. Intel has unveiled the company’s latest 64-bit Intel Atom Processor Z3480 (formerly Merrifield) for smartphones and tablets and has also detailed their 64-bit 2.3GHz quad-core Atom Z3580 processor for Android devices, code-namedMoorefield. The Intel Z3480 is a dual-core chip based on 22nm process technology. The Atom Z3480 has PowerVR G6400 GPU and is optimized for Intel XMM 7160 LTE Modem. Whatsapp to introduce voice calls during Q2, 2014
Whatsapp was recently acquired by Facebook in a record USD19billion deal and looks like we are starting to have fruits of the deal already. Whatsapp had a small panel at the MWC 2014 and they spoke to TNW and according to them, Whatsapp is planning to add voice calls to their of features.

BBM coming for Windows Phone and Nokia X platform
BBM made a lot of waves when it became a cross platform messaging service and arrived on iOS and Android smartphones. At that time, the only envious users who couldn’t get their hands on BBM were Windows Phone owners and now, looks like things are changing. Nokia X Android Smartphone Hands on
Nokia held a press conference at MWC 2014 with the name – Under the Tree and announced a Android powered budget smartphone that has been in the rumor mill for quite some time now. Nokia X – Nokia’s newest range of budget smartphones, are powered by Android at heart, but use Microsoft’s services instead of Google’s services. Nokia X runs on Nokia X software platform which is a forked version of Android 4.1.2 Jellybean.

Yota Devices launched the YotaPhone back in December, next generation YotaPhone today at Mobile World Congress (MWC).
