Micromax launched the Canvas Knight A350 as the successor to last year’s Canvas Turbo A250. Even though this features the same 5-inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), the Canvas Knight is powered by a more powerful 2GHz octa-core processor, features a 16-megapixel rear camera and also has a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. HTC Desire 616 with 5-inch HD display, octa-core processor surfaces

HTC unveiled the Desire 816 at the MWC last month. Earlier this month Desire 516 with 5-inch qHD display and a quad-core processor surfaced online. Today, HTC Desire 616 with octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor has surfaced online in live images posted by a weibo user. It has also been certified in Tenna in China that reveals the complete specifications of the device. It has a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with HTC Sense 5 on top. Sony says no to Android Wear for now, will stick to its custom OS

Sony was one among the first of the electronics giant to jump into the smart watch category and it has so far launched a couple of smart watches. Until now, both the products haven’t really made it to the larger crowd. Sony SmartWatch does not use Android as its OS, but works with Android smartphones.

LG partners with Airtel and Qualcomm to launch LTE experience zone in Bangalore

LG Electronics has partnered with Airtel and Qualcomm to set up LTE experience zone in Bangalore for customers to experience 4G LTE. Airtel introduced 4G on mobile first on iPhone 5c and 5s for customers in Bangalore last month. LG launched the 4G LTE variant of the L2 G2 in India earlier this month starting at Rs. 46,000. Samsung Galaxy S5 might launch in India for Rs. 51500

Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy S5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India tomorrow. Now Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom reports that the phone would be priced at Rs. 51,500 in India and would go on pre-order starting March 28th for a pre-booking price of Rs. 1500. Samsung also plans to offer 15% Cash Back on Citibank Credit Cards with EMI of 6/12/18 months at applicable interest rates. Facebook acquires Oculus Rift, a Virtual Reality Gaming Headset company

Facebook is on a buying spree. Recently, it had acquired the messaging company Whatsapp for a record $19billion and now, it has acquired Oculus Rift, a virtual reality company. Oculus first demonstrated the prototype in June 2012 at E3 and then raised crowd funding for its Oculus Rift product.

LG G2 gets the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in India

Last month LG UK promised that the Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update would be available in UK starting mid-March. The international variant of the LG G2 got the KitKat update last week, now the update is available for the Indian G2 users. The KitKat update for the G2 would bring battery-saving location mode, speed improvements for 17% percent faster performance compared to Jelly Bean, Google Cloud Print and lots more new features. HTC One (M8) Duo Camera: Explained

HTC has finally revealed its most awaited flagship phone, the One (M8), at an event in New York today. The flagship phone takes on a countless number of other Android flagship devices with an upgraded design and internals, bringing it up to speed, literally. The new One improves upon the older one in a lot of ways, and one of them is by innovating(again) on the camera side. The original One had the industry’s first Ultrapixel sensor, a 4.1 MP camera with pixels sized at 2 microns, which is back on the new HTC One (M8) but it is also accompanied by a secondary camera. While the Ultrapixel is all about gathering more light, this curious little camera that sits above the main unit enables a whole lot of enhancements that HTC proudly portrayed at their event. HTC One (M8) Benchmarks

HTC unveiled the HTC One (M8), the latest flagship smartphone earlier today. We manged to get hold of the smartphone at the launch event and range some synthetic benchmark test. The HTC One (M8) is powered by quad-core Snapdragon 801 28nm HPm Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.46 GHz with Adreno 330 GPU. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS with HTC Sense 6 on top. The Sony Xperia Z2 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 also have a Snapdragon 801 SoC.
