Lenovo launched the Lenovo A7-50 tablet in India earlier this month. Today the Lenovo A7-30 tablet is available in India through the official Lenovo online store. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8382M processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. Samsung’s first Android Wear Smartwatch spotted at FCC?

After LG and Motorola, it looks like Samsung is the next company which is making a smartwatch that is powered by Google’s Android Wear. SammyToday has spotted a smartwatch filing by Samsung that was posted on FCC website. Dubbed SM-R382, the FCC documents reveal that the smartwatch is smaller than than the Gear 2 by 10 mm / 0.39 inches.

Xolo rumored to be launching a very light smartphone at budget pricing

Xolo is one among them and it is the first company to produce an Intel chip powered smartphone. Open Web Apps now run as Native Apps on Android, courtesy Firefox of Android

Firefox OS was targeted at the lower end smartphone segment, but it hasn’t really made an impact yet as no phones running on Firefox OS has been launched in India. As Mozilla mentioned, the Firefox OS is based on Open Web Standards and any web app can be wrapped into a Firefox App with just a few lines of code.

Micromax teases upcoming Windows Phone handset, set to launch on 16th June

Micromax just sent over an invite signalling the launch of its upcoming Windows Phone handset. The phone will be a part of the Canvas range of products as expected. The event invitation also indicates that the phone will be based on a Qualcomm chipset. If rumors are to be believed, two handsets will be launched at the event slated for 16th June.

The devices are expected to straddle the lower to mid range spectrum. Over at BUILD, Microsoft unveiled an updated edition of Windows Phone that was further tuned for lower cost handsets despite adding much needed features. Additionally, the company has removed the licensing fee for Windows Phone handsets making it a viable alternative for local cost smartphone manufacturers.The two handsets are expected to be priced at between Rs. 6,000 – 7,000 for the lower end model and Rs. 10,000 – 11,000 for the mid range phone. The tablet has a stunning 8.4-inch (2560×1600 pixel) WQXGA Super AMOLED display at a pixel density of 359 ppi. The display is sharp and it offers 90% of Adobe RGB color coverage for accurate color output.It comes in Octa-Core Exynos and Snapdragon 800 variants depending on the WiFi and LTE models.
