Skype makes group video calling free for Mac, Windows and Xbox

In a bid to enhance its offering and compete with other players, Skype has introduced free group video calling on Mac, Windows and Xbox. The feature which was launched in 2010 was already available, but only to Premium Skype users on these aforementioned platforms for $8.99 per month.

Samsung reports profit of $8.2 billion in Q1 2014

Samsung just reported its earnings for Q1 2014, in which the company has managed to make operating profit of 8.49 trillion won ($8.2 billion) for the quarter ended March 31st.  It has reported net profit of 7.57 trillion won ($7.3 billion) and revenues of 53.68 trillion won, down by 9% from 59.28 trillion won in the fourth quarter of 2013. It has a 20.7-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, 4.4-44mm lens with 10x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Xenon Flash. It has a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, powered by a Hexa-Core processor (1.7 GHz Dual Core Cortex A15+ 1.3 GHz Quad Core Cortex A7) and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with the latest Samsung Touchwiz UX.
