HTC Desire 820 Benchmarks

HTC launched the Desire 820 smartphone in India last month for Rs. 24990. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Desire 820 is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.54 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.0 GHz per core. It has Adreno 405 GPU. The Desire 820 has a 5.5-inch HD display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), similar to the Desire 816 that has a Snapdragon 400 processor. HTC Camera app arrives on Google Play Store

HTC has added its Camera app in the Google Play Store. The app will bring HTC Eye experience to supported devices. Users can directly download updates and bug fixes directly from the Play Store instead of waiting for firmware updates to hit their devices.

Vodafone to launch UK broadband and TV services next Spring

EE may have just launched their own fixed broadband and TV service in the UK but chief rival Vodafone is close behind. Whilst talking about the Group’s fixed service income, Vodafone Group CEO Vittorio Colao noted that the company was set to launch its own residential broadband and TV service in the UK in Spring 2015.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge receive eco-friendly carbon certification

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge have received an eco-friendly carbon labeling certification in several countries. The Note 4 has received the certifications in Korea, United States, United Kingdom, and Russia, while Galaxy Note Edge won the green label in Japan. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has become the first smartphone certified by Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute for low carbon emissions, said the company. iOS devices targeted by new ‘Masque attack’ malware

A new malware vulnerability called as “Masque attack” is targeting iOS devices, as per a security firm FireEye. Masque Attack allows malicious parties to install duplicate versions of third-party apps on your iPhone or iPad, replacing your original app with theirs, which can access and monitor your data.

Spice Stellar 517 and Stellar 470, two new smartphones in the Spice Stellar series are listed on the official website. The Stellar 517 is a minor variation of the Stellar 518 that went on sale few weeks back. It has the same 5-inch FWVGA screen, has an 8-megapixel camera, but this has a 2MP camera compared to the 1.3MP camera and a 3000mAh battery instead of 4000mAh battery on the Stellar 518.
