Dubbed as People Sense, the app will let users reveal their real-time location to selected contacts and also provides them with detailed direction’s to a contact’s location. The app is currently being code-named as Buddy Aware and is expected to integrate Bing Maps with messaging and calling features.

It will also allows users to mark favourite places like ‘home’ or ‘work’ and integrate them in the app. More features are expected to be incorporated in People Sense. However, the app does not provide notifications to alert users when one of their contacts is nearby but it is likely that this feature might be added in a future build. Microsoft also plans to offer integration with third-party applications for communication and navigation purposes as well.
