Chinese smartphone maker vivo today confirmed that its flagship Xplay5 smartphone will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and pack whopping 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Most flagship smartphones come with 4GB of RAM, but this will probably be the first smartphone to come with 6GB of RAM.
SanDisk today introduced the Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-II card, which the company claims to be the world’s fastest microSD card with a transfer speeds of up to 275MBps. It features Class 10 and UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) and is suitable for capturing Full HD and 4K Ultra HD videos on action cams, drones and smartphones. It has a 5-inch HD curved glass edge-to-edge display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). Nokia Growth Partners (NGP) has raised $350 million fund for investments in Internet of Things (IoT) companies. The fund is sponsored by Nokia and will serve to seek new opportunities to grow the ecosystem in IoT solutions. The latest round of funding brings NGP’s total assets under management to over USD 1 billion, including USD 500 million available for new investments.
