Google has announced that it is launching Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) for search in India. Unveiled in October last year, AMP is an open source HTML initiative which improves the performance of the mobile web and is Google’s answer to Facebook’s Instant Articles.

GSM Association has announced the winners for the 21st annual Global Mobile Awards at the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona. Last year Apple iPhone 6 and the LG G3 were adjusted the best smartphone award, this year the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge gets the award for the best smartphone. Samsung today announced that it has started mass producing world’s first 256GB ultra-fast embedded flash memory based on Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 2.0 standard for next-generation high-end mobile devices, including smartphones. The company introduced the first 128GB UFS 2.0 flash memory back in February last year. UFS 2.0 promises better sequential read and write performance, closer to SSD and 50% decrease in energy consumption. OnePlus will finally launch its flagship OnePlus 3 smartphone, successor of the current OnePlus 2 by the end of Q2 2016, which is probably late May or June, according to CNET. In an interview with the CNET en Español, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei said that the upcoming flagship will feature a ‘new design,’ and he hopes it will ‘captivate’ users as much as the OnePlus One, but he did not reveal any specifications.
