OnePlus has started rolling out new OxygenOS open betas (Beta 8 for OnePlus 3T and Beta 17 for OnePlus 3) for the 3 and 3T phones that brings several new features including Ambient display 2.0 that brings new implementation of Ambient display, meant to help stop accidental wakes while pulling the phone out of your pocket. Activation of the screen now requires a “double tap” action. Lift up display turns on the screen to peek at notifications when the device is lifted. The app will scan documents and convert printed text into digital text with the help of your phone’s rear camera using Optical Character Recognition.
