Vodafone India today announced that it has partnered with WhatsApp to promote and educate users to use the app in local India language. Vodafone said that it is one of the first operators to start such an initiative and aims to empower its consumers to connect with each other in a language of their preference. WhatsApp is available in more than 50 languages, including 10 Indian languages and has over 200 million monthly active users in India. Truecaller has started rolling out flash messaging feature for iPhone users. The feature that was already available for Android lets users communicate via pre-defined messages, phrases and emojis. Treucaller says more than 41 million users have upgraded to the Flash-embedded version of Truecaller 8 for Android.

ASUS has announced price cuts for their Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Max series of Zenfone smartphones in India. Even though the company did not mention the reason for the price cut, this could be due to GST.
