After rumors, Google has officially announced the Android version of the Moto X4 smartphone, soon after the launch of Xiaomi Mi A1. It is exclusive to U.S. for Project Fi users. This is the first Android One phone to launch in the U.S. and is also be the first non-Google phone to join Google’s Project Fi.

After rumors, Google has officially announced that it has signed an agreement with HTC to acquire team of HTC talent for US$1.1 billion in cash. This includes some of whom have already been working on the Pixel smartphone line. The deal also includes a non-exclusive license for HTC intellectual property to support the Pixel smartphone family.

Lenovo-owned Moto launched the Moto E4 Plus smartphone with a 5000mAh battery in India only in Iron Grey and Fine Gold colors. Today it has launched the Oxford Blue color variant of the smartphone. Other specifications of the phone are same, including a 5.5-inch HD screen, fingerprint sensor on the front, Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) and dedicated SIM and microSD slots. HTC has suspended trading on the stock exchange owing to rumors of a takeover by Google. Taiwan’s stock exchange announced that shares would not be trading on Thursday morning “pending the release of material information. The statement does not mention when the exchange will resume normal trading.

LG launched the Q6 smartphone with 5.5-inch FHD+ FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio, facial recognition and military grade durability in India last month. Today it has launched the LG Q6+ with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage in the country. All other specifications of the phone are same as the Q6. It runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) and has a 7000 series aluminum frame.
Meizu just announced M6, its latest budget smartphone and the successor of last year’s M5 in China, but it is just a minor upgrade. It packs a 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass screen, is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 processor and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat)-based FlymeOS 6 on top.
