Black Shark 2 Pro with 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855 Plus, 12GB RAM, up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage announced

Black Shark just announced the Black Shark 2 Pro, an enhanced version of the Black Shark 2 smartphone that was introduced earlier this year. It is powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC and up to 256GB UFS3.0 storage. It a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with HDR support, touch response speed of 34.7ms with touch algorithm optimization especially for gaming, and includes a dedicated DC dimming 2.0. The liquid cooling 3.0 promises improved cooling with liquid-cooled plate and liquid-cooled tube to reduce the CPU’s core temperature.

MediaTek Helio G90 and G90T SoCs with HyperEngine game technology announced; Xiaomi phone with Helio G90T launching in India soon

MediaTek just announced Helio G90 and G90T SoCs in the ‘G series’ in India. Designed to be used in mid-range gaming smartphones, these have MediaTek’s HyperEngine game technology to boost the mobile gaming experience.  These use ARM Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 CPUs with the Arm Mali — G76 3EEMC4 with speeds of up to 800MHz and are based on 12nm TSMC FinFET technology. “The combination of CPU, GPU and APU delivers up to 1TMACs performance, for peak power and smooth game play,” said the company.

Redmi K20 Pro gets a new ‘Honey White’ color variant

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand introduced the Redmi K20 Pro smartphone in Flame Red, Glacier Blue and Carbon Fiber Black colors back in China in May, which was later launched in India. Today it has introduced the phone in new white color which it calls ‘Summer Honey White’. This has a gradient finish on the back and golden finish on the sides and around the pop-up camera.

Nokia 9.1 PureView with 5G support, improved low-light and video performance said to launch in Q4 2019

HMD Global launched the Nokia 9 PureView with five rear cameras at MWC this year and recently launched the smartphone in India too. Previous reports suggested that the successor to the Nokia 9 PureView i.e., Nokia 9.1 PureView could launch in Q3 this year.
