Vivo confirms OriginOS roll out to range of smartphones

Vivo introduced the OriginOS to replace the Funtouch OS Android skin at its China event yesterday with “Klotski grid” desktop grid, “Nano Alerts”  “Nano Kits Library”,  navigation gestures, Sky Window,  Time Window, Behaviour Icon and more. As expected, it has confirmed the range of devices that will get the open beta update in China before January 2021. Apple reduces App Store commission down to 15% for developers earning less than $1 million

After nearly 12 years since it launched, Apple is finally reducing their App Store commission down from 30% to 15% for developers who have earned less than $1 million in a financial year. This change in App Store policy comes at a time when Apple is fighting a major lawsuit against Epic Games, who accused Apple of anti-competitive restrictions in their marketplace.

realme sold over 8.3 million devices during festive sales in India

realme today  announced that it has sold more than 8.3 million smartphones and AIoT products during realmeFestiveDays from October 15th to November 16th. Out of the total, 6.3 million were smartphones that includes 1.35 Million Narzo phones, 1.2+ Million C11 phones and 1.6 Million realme 7 series phones, witnessing a 20% growth compared to the festive season last year. Google Fit app update adds workout shortcuts, improved home page, weather screen updates and more

The Google Fit app for both Android, iOS and WearOS is receiving a new update that brings a bunch of new changes to the interface and some new features to keep up with the times. OSOM by former Essential employees plans to release privacy-focused Android product in 2021

Essential, the company that introduced notches in the smartphone, is now no more. Founded by Android co-founder Andy Rubin, announced its closure earlier this year. The company’s only product, Essential Phone, sold poorly and received mixed reviews as well. Other promised devices operating system and home assistant never really materialised.
