Has the S Pen become more useful on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4?

Back in 2011, Samsung had launched the original Galaxy Note, a large screen device that brought the stylus back into vogue. Initially used as a substitute for the finger in old touchscreens, the stylus, also known as the S-Pen, became a value add for Samsung’s new experiment. Even though the positioning of the Note has slightly changed, the stylus has stuck to its place and evolved along with the device, now in its fourth iteration. Has it become more useful, this generation? Let’s find out.

HTC Desire EYE reportedly available from select offline stores in India for Rs. 35990

HTC announced the Desire EYE in India at the Double Exposure event back in October. It was supposed to go on sale in the country exclusively on Amazon late November, but it didn’t happen. Today Mumbai-based retailer Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom said that the HTC Desire EYE would be available from select offline stores in India starting today. LG Electronics India says that it intends to enter into record books renowned in the world with this attempt. Airtel now charges for VoIP data on Skype, Viber and other apps even with data packs

Airtel has started charging extra for VoIP calls on 3G and 2G in even if you are using packs. So, if you are using Skype to call others using Airtel 3G for 30 minutes that consumes about 60MB, you have to pay for the data charges separately, and it will not be deducted from the 2G or 3G data pack you are using. Gionee launched the Elife S5.1, the company’s thinnest smartphone in India last month for Rs. 18,999. We brought you the unboxing, photo gallery, benchmarks and the battery test results of the smartphone recently, here we have the camera samples from the smartphone. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with single LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture and 88-degree wide angle lens.

Amazon Appstore offers $220 worth free apps and games for limited period

Amazon Appstore is back with another free apps offer, this time for December holidays. The company offers 30 paid Android apps and games worth $220 for free on the Amazon AppStore starting today, December 24th till December 26th, Friday. Last month Amazon offered 39 apps worth $130 for free for Black Friday. This time it offers some interesting apps like,  Root Explorer, PicShop – Photo Editor, Plex,  games like Anomaly Warzone Earth HD, Worms 3, Farming Simulator 14 and more. How good is the Obi Hornbill S551’s camera?

The low mid range is decidedly a hard-fought battle between manufacturers. Here, on paper specifications win the consumer but most of the times, the results hardly match expectations. The Obi Hornbill costs Rs. 9,250 but has a 13 megapixel camera, which is hardly seen at this price. It is well known that Megapixels don’t always matter, so we are putting it head on with the Xolo Q2100, a phone that is priced slightly higher, to see which comes out as the better stills camera in a tough challenge. ASUS has announced Pegasus X002, the company’s latest budget smartphone in China that competes with the Xiaomi Redmi 1S smartphone. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive multi-touch IPS display, is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6732 64-bit processor with ARM Cortex-A53 64-bit CPUs and Mali-T760 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) with Zen UI on top.
