Nokia X5-01 QWERTY Music phone launched

Nokia has launched a new Music phone in the X series – the X5 or more accurately the X5-01 !  The X5 and C5 were recently announced for China and are not to be confused with the X5-01. This is a new QWERTY music phone running on Symbian S60 3rd edtion. It sports a 320×240 display , shake control a dedicated play button and a nice little keyboard. Samsung Galaxy S Brief Hands On

Motorola and Blackberry maker RIM end litigation war, enter into agreement

Patent wars are bad for companies and users. It’s good only for those trying to take advantage of the loop holes in the system. In a surprising move Motorola and Blackberry maker RIM have entered into a agreement that ends all outstanding worldwide litigation between the two companies. Moto had sued RIM over patents last year. The agreement will involve sharing of patents between the two companies. Peace !  But we are still waiting to hear something about the Apple – Nokia legal battle !

Qualcomm wins BWA Spectrum in Delhi, Mumbai , Haryana and Kerala

Qualcomm which had submitted it’s bid for the BWA spectrum in India has announced that it has won the Spectrum in 4 circles of Delhi, Mumbai , Haryana and Kerala. The company’s final bid stood at Rs.4912.54 crores or 1 billion USD approx. Qualcomm had announced previously that it would tie up with an Indian partner if it won the BWA spectrum.  We’ll find out soon who the Indian partner would be.  BWA stands of Broadband Wireless Access and this spectrum would be used by companies to provide Mobile Broadband services .

Nokia C7 leaked with 8MP Camera

The upcoming Nokia C7 has been leaked on a Chinese website and it’s rumored to have a 8MP Camera with 720p Video recording. Although the design does not look like a Nokia the front reminds us of the E65/E66 with the slider tucked in. The C7-00 is part of the Nokia Roadmap according to what we posted yesterday. iPhone 4 Camera Samples

Every manufacturer seems to be publishing Camera samples of their upcoming phone to woo users to buy their product.  Apple finally upgrade the camera on it’s iPhone to a 5 Megapixel sensor on the iPhone 4 and also topped it up with a LED Flash. The phone also boasts of 720p HD Video recording. We would have loved to see a video sample but Apple has only shared untouched Camera samples straight from the iPhone 4 and they look amazing. Blackberry Pearl 3G aka 9100 coming to India soon

UPDATE: Both 9100 and 9105 have been launched in Mumbai

We are hearing the the Blackberry Pearl 3G is going to be available in India soon and the street price is estimated to be around the Rs.16000 mark. The original Pearl 8100 was a huge hit in India and across the world for RIM. Looks like they want to repeat that success with the Pearl 3G

Watch the WWDC 2010 iPhone 4 Keynote now

Apple has uploaded the complete video yesterday’s keynote session in which the new iPhone 4 was unveiled. This video is not only a must watch for iPhone fans but also for those who want to improve their presentation skills !

Seems like the Video is not edited as all the funny instances like the WiFi connection failing during the demo and Steve Jobs requesting bloggers to turn off their MiFi devices are part of the video.

iPhone 4 India Launch in September ? Price might be high

During the WWDC announcements today Apple announced that the iPhone 4 – the latest apple phone will be available in 88 countries by September this year. We are not sure if India is amongst the 88 countries listed. But since there are lot of iPhone fans in India , we would love to get our hands on the device pretty soon and not a year later. The iPad is expected to be launched in India soon.
