Reliance Jio unveiled its JioPhone at the 40th AGM last month, and the company said that pre-booking for the phone will start on August 24th. As promised today the company has announced that the phone will be available for pre-booking through MyJio app and jio.com online as well as Jio retailers and multi-brand device retailers including the Reliance Digital stores network offline at 5:30PM tomorrow.

YU launched YUREKA BLACK smartphone back in June running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). This week it has started rolling out Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) update for the phone, as it had promised at the launch. Russia’s Yota Devices has been announced YotaPhone 3 at an event at Russian Embassy in Beijing. It was first unveiled at the Russian-Chinese Expo back in June. Samsung GearFit2 Pro, successor of last year’s Gear Fit 2 yesterday appeared on Samsung Spain and Malaysia sites briefly before it was pulled. It has model number SM-R365 and comes with similar 1.5-inch Curved Super AMOLED screen and runs Tizen OS, but this comes with a new watch-style clasp.

Reliance Jio unveiled JioPhone, the company’s first VoLTE feature phone last month. It will start pre-bookings for the phone from 5:30PM today. At the launch it revealed some of the specifications such as 2.4-inch QVGA screen,microSD slot, torch light, FM Radio, support for 22 major Indian languages and voice commands to call someone, reject a call, browse internet, open apps and more. It already confirmed NFC support, and said that tap-and-pay payments through UPI, credit and debit cards will be enabled through software update. Last year Google unveiled its Pixel smartphones on October 4th. This year it will unveil the second-generation Pixel phones powered by Snapdragon 836 on October 5th, according to @evleaks. Live images and earlier leaks of the phones already confirmed no 3.5mm headphone jack, front-facing stereo speakers, always-on display, squeezable frame, fingerprint sensor on the back and single rear camera for the phones.

Nokia 6 went on sale in India today for Rs. 14,999, exclusively on Amazon at 12PM today. HMD Global just announced that the phone sold out in less than a minute in the first flash sale, same thing that happened at the first sale in China. It has a 4-inch FWVGA display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, but it still runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has only 512MB RAM and 4GB of storage.
