Flipkart has once again confirmed that the phone will go on sale starting midnight on May 16 2018, a day after the launch. Honor is also offering live stream of the event starting from 2PM BST (6:30 PM IST) on May 15th.

HMD Global announced the new Nokia 6 Android One smartphone at the MWC, which was launched in India last month for Rs. 16,999. Today the company teased a new phone with more storage is coming soon, which hints at 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version of the phone, compared to 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version.

SHARP AQUOS R2 with 6-inch QHD+ 19:9 display, Snapdragon 845, dedicated ultra wide angle lens video camera announced
SHARP has announced AQUOS R2, the company’s latest flagship smartphone and the successor of last year’s AQUOS R smartphone in Japan. It has a 6-inch WQHD+ IGZO LCD display with 19:9 aspect ratio 100 Hz refresh rate and support for Dolby Vision. It is powered by Snapdragon 845 with 4GB RAM and runs Android 8.0 (Oreo). It has a 22.6-megapixel primary camera along with a 16.3-megapixel secondary rear camera with 135-degree ultra wide-angle lens to shoot videos in 4K 2K (3840 × 2,160 pixels) resolution. The AI live shutter support will take pictures automatically during movie shooting.
iBall CompBook Merit G9 11.6-inch Windows 10 laptop launched for Rs. 13999
iBall has launched Merit G9 , its latest laptop in the CompBook series. It has a 11.6-inch (1366 x 768 pixels) display, is powered by a dual-core Intel N3350 processor, comes with a keyboard and a trackpad, and weighs just 1.1kg. It also has HDMI port and comes with slot to add HDD/SSD.

Alcatel A3 10 4G Android Tablet 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version launched in India for Rs. 11999
Alcatel launched A3 10 4G Android tablet in India back in June last year with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Today it has launched the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version in the country. The cameras have also been upgraded to 8-megapixel on the back and 5-megapixel on the front. Other specifications are same, including a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 Pixels) display, quad-core MediaTek 8735B processor, Android 7.0 (Nougat) and 4G LTE connectivity via SIM and support for voice calling through headset or speaker. Xiaomi is expanding to France and Italy this month
Xiaomi entered Europe for the first time last September starting from Spain. Now it has announced that it will expand to France and Italy later this month. It will launch in France on May 22nd, 2018 and in Italy on May 24th, 2018.

Honor 7S with 5.45-inch 18:9 FullView display, face unlock surfaces, gets certified
After the introduction of Honor 7A last month, Huawei’s Honor brand is all set to introduce the Honor 7S smartphone in China as well as Europe soon. Press images and specifications of the phone has surfaced and it has also been certified by TENAA in China with the model number DUA-TL00. This shows the image of the phone without a fingerprint sensor, but it is said to come with face unlock. Google rolls out May 2018 Android security update – Improves multi-touch detection for all devices, fixes Pixel XL charging issues
Google has started rolling out new over-the-air (OTA) update for Pixel and Nexus devices and also posted factory images as part of monthly Android Security release. The update for this month also includes a couple of functional improvements for these eligible Pixel and Nexus smartphones. This includes improved multi-touch detection for all devices, and it says that it has adjusted Pixel XL charging behavior, which will likely be a fix to overcurrent charging problem that was found in Android 8.1. OnePlus 6 in Black and White colors surfaces in live image, super slo-mo camera teased
OnePlus is all set to launch its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone next week and entry vouchers to attend the event will be available via oneplus.in from 10:00 am today. Announcing this OnePlus Star Amitabh Bachchan tweeted couple of images with the OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, and both were holding the phone. This shows the phone in Black and White colors, and a familiar design with a glass back and metal frame that we had seen in case renders and live image. It looks like the white version will have a smooth matte finish, something similar to OnePlus 5T’s Sandstone White.

Nubia’s Full Screen 3.0 bezel-less smartphone teased by CEO, could be Nubia Z18
Nubia’s CEO Ni Fei has teased with an image that the company is working on Full Screen 3.0 technology for its upcoming smartphone with minimal bezels. He said that the Z17S, that was introduced in October last year featured high 90.36% screen-to-body ratio, and this phone could come with even higher screen-to-body ratio.
