Samsung has announced Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G along with the Galaxy S21 5G and S21+ 5G smartphones at its Galaxy Unpacked online, as it had promised. It packs a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display with 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, is powered by Snapdragon 888 / Exynos 2100 5nm 5G SoCs with depending on the market. The phone feature in-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner, run Android 11 with OneUI 3.1 and come with Samsung services like Bixby, Samsung Health and Samsung Pay. Samsung has announced its flagship Galaxy S21 5G and Galaxy S21+ 5G  smartphones at its Galaxy Unpacked online event, as it had promised. These pack a 6.2/6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O flat Displays with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a downgrade compared to QHD+ display in the predecessor. These are powered by Snapdragon 888 / Exynos 2100 5nm 5G SoCs with depending on the market. These phones feature in-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner, run Android 11 with OneUI 3.1 and come with Samsung services like Bixby, Samsung Health and Samsung Pay. Samsung Galaxy A32 5G with 6.5-inch Infinity-V display, Dimensity 720, 48MP quad rear cameras, 5000mAh battery announced

Samsung has announced Galaxy A32 5G, the company’s latest budget 5G smartphone months after it introduced A42 5G. It packs a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD Infinity-V display, is powered by Dimensity 720 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM. It packs quad rear cameras that include 48 MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera 5MP macro camera, and 2MP depth of field camera for live focus and a 13MP front camera. HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G with 6.7-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, Snapdragon 690 5G, 5000mAh battery announced

HTC has announced Desire 20 Pro 5G, the company’s latest smartphone in the Desire series in Taiwan after introducing the Desire 20 Pro back in June last year. It packs a 6.7-inch Full HD+ 20:9, 90Hz refresh rate screen with a 16MP camera inside the punch-hole, is powered by Snapdragon 690 5G SoC, 8GB of RAM, comes with 64MP rear camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP depth and 2MP macro camera. Samsung Galaxy S21 Unpacked event in India set for January 14 at 8PM

Update: Samsung has confirmed that it will host Samsung Galaxy Unpacked online event in India at 8PM on January 14, 2021, half an hour before the global event. It also said that those watching the event could be one of the first 21 to win the next Galaxy device. It started pre-reserve option for the S21 series in India a few days back. Since it is hosting an India event, we can expect the price of the phone for the local market to be announced at the event. Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition launched in India at Rs. 89 per month

Amazon Prime Video has launched Prime Video Mobile Edition, a new single-user, mobile-only plan at an introductory price of Rs. 89 per month first time in India.  The plan provides SD quality streaming through the Prime Video app on Android or iOS, which the company says is created especially for a mobile-first country like India. Telegram adds 25 million new users in 72 hours, surpasses 500 million active users

Telegram CEO and Founder Pavel Durov in a blogpost announced that Telegram has added 25 million new users globally in the last 72 hours alone. It surpassed 500 million monthly active users in the first week of January. The new rise is due to the new update to WhatsApp’s privacy policy which the company clarified later after backlash from people. Several users moved to Telegram and Signal. Vodafone Idea today announced that it has successfully refarmed 3G spectrum to 4G across 11 cities in Gujarat, thereby substantially enhancing GIGAnet 4G capacity in these cities. This development coming on the heels of the deployment of 5 MHz of 2100 MHz spectrum band in the circle, allowing Vi customers in Gujarat to enjoy higher download and upload speeds apart from better indoor coverage. Samsung confirms AMD GPU for its next-gen flagship Exynos SoC

Samsung introduced Exynos 2100, the company’s latest flagship SoC that will power the Galaxy S21 series. Inyup Kang, President of System LSI Business at Samsung Electronics at the end of the event confirmed that the company has been working with AMD and the next-generation mobile GPU from AMD will be used in the next flagship Exynos processor. Samsung Exynos 2100 5nm EUV SoC with up to 30% faster CPU and up to 40% better GPU performance, built-in 5G announced

Samsung just announced its latest Exynos 2100 SoC, successor of Exynos 990 that was introduced last year, as it had promised. It uses 5nm EUV (extreme ultra violet) lithography processing technology for better power efficiency. This has tri-cluster CPU structure that consists of Arm Cortex-X1 core that runs at up to 2.9GHz optimized for peak performance, three Cortex-A78 cores that run at 2.8GHz for balanced processing, and four Cortex-A55 cores that run at 2.2GHz for efficiency. This is similar to Snapdragon 888, but the clock speed is faster than the competitor. It promises 30% improved multi-core performance that the predecessor.
