Flipkart and Nokia have launched the second Nokia branded Smart TV in India, as they had promised. The 43-inch 4K Ultra HD TV has narrow bezels offering infinity-edge viewing experience. It has MEMC technology, intelligent dimming, wide color gamut and Dolby Vision. The TV has built-in 24 watt speakers on the bottom with DTS TruSurround, Dolby Audio and audio optimizations from JBL for deep bass. It runs Android 9.0 with support for Google Assistant, Chromecast in-built and lets you download more apps via Google’s Android Play Store.

HUAWEI’s HONOR brand just announced the HONOR Play 4 and Play 4 Pro 5G smartphones, as it had promised. These phones pack 6.81-inch and 6.57-inch FHD+ LCD screens with 60Hz refresh rate, respectively. The Play 4 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC and the Play 4 Pro 5G is powered by the company’s own Kirin 990 SoC with Balong 5000 5G modem. These have VC cooling support. The Play 4 Pro has a 40MP Sony IMX600y sensor along with 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS. It also has a 32MP front camera along with an 8MP Ultra-wide sensor. Vivo has officially introduced X50 series smartphones that includes X50, X50 Pro and X50 Pro+. The X50 and X50 Pro have a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate, 120Hz touch response rate, but only the X50 Pro comes with a 55° curved screen. These are powered by Snapdragon 765G with support for 5G SA/ NSA, while the X50 Pro+ comes with a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED 55° curved screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and are powered by Snapdragon 865 with 5G SA/ NSA support. TRAI, the telecom regulator of India last week issued recommendations on ‘Ensuring Adequate Numbering Resources for Fixed Line and Mobile Services’. Xiaomi has finally confirmed that it will introduce the Mi Band 5, successor of last year’s Mi Band 4 in China on June 11th, the same date the Mi Band 4 was announced. Based on the image that has surfaced in Mi Wear app, it shows a similar design as the Band 4. This will reportedly come with a slightly larger 1.2-inch screen.
