Marking ten years of its F Series lineup in India, OPPO has announced the launch of the OPPO F35 Series, introducing two models: the OPPO F35 Pro 5G and the standard OPPO F35 5G, as it had announced.
The lineup focuses on front-facing wide-angle photography, high-capacity battery life, high-durability ingress protection, and updated MediaTek silicon paired with ColorOS 16.
Camera System: Group-Centric Imaging and 4K Video
Both devices center their camera setups around a 50MP Ultra-Wide front-facing camera featuring a 100° field of view (FOV), a 1/2.88-inch sensor, an f/2.1 aperture, and autofocus. The system utilizes a 0.6x wide perspective alongside an AI Auto Wide-Angle Switch to adapt framing for multi-person compositions.
On the rear:
- OPPO F35 Pro 5G: Equipped with a 50MP primary camera (1/2-inch sensor, f/1.8 aperture, autofocus, and optical image stabilization) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. It includes Natural Tone 2.0 processing, an updated Portrait Mode with refined edge segmentation, an Ultra-Bright Dual Rear Flashlight, and up to 4K video recording on both front and rear cameras (with Ultra-Steady and Dual-View video modes). Creative post-processing features include AI Popout and AI Remix Collage.
- OPPO F35 5G: Features a 50MP main sensor (1/2-inch sensor, f/1.9 aperture, autofocus) with True-Tone optimization. It supports video recording up to 2.5K resolution on both front and rear setups.
Display, Processing, and Thermals
The two handsets offer distinct configurations across display and silicon:
- OPPO F35 Pro 5G: Powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX processor, delivering a claimed 30% increase in CPU multi-core performance and 35% higher GPU performance compared to the prior generation. Sustained loads are managed by a 5,000mm² SuperCool vapor chamber (VC) system. The display is a 17.22cm (6.78-inch class) 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED panel with up to 1,800 nits full-screen brightness, 3,600 nits peak brightness, and 2,160Hz PWM dimming.
- OPPO F35 5G: Runs on the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX octa-core platform. It carries a 16.69cm (6.57-inch class) FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display offering up to 1,400 nits full-screen brightness, 10-bit color depth, and adaptive refresh rates (60/90/120Hz).
Battery, Ingress Protection, and Software
Both variants house an 8,000mAh battery that supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast wired charging. According to OPPO, the battery is rated to retain over 80% capacity after up to 1,800 charge cycles, providing estimated six-year durability. Connectivity includes 5G++ support and AI LinkBoost 4.0 for signal stability.
On the build and durability side, both models are certified with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for water and dust ingress, alongside military-grade shock resistance and Rainstorm Touch to ensure touch responsiveness when wet.
The series runs ColorOS 16 out of the box, integrating tools such as AI Recording, AI Ultra-Clear Documents, AI Call Guard, and One-Tap Security Guard. Underlying performance is governed by the Trinity Engine (combining Parallel Loading and Adaptive Scheduling) and Extended Use Care 2.0, with the Pro variant adding a Luminous Rendering Engine for smoother animations.
