Samsung Galaxy Camera launching in India by mid-November

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note II in India few hours back. They have also announced that the Galaxy Camera would launch in India in India by Diwali, which is mid-November. Samsung announced the Galaxy Camera at IFA Berlin last month. The 16 Megapixel camera has a F2.8 aperture, 23 mm focal length and 21x Optical Zoom Lens with BSI CMOS sensor. It packs in a 4.77-inch 308 ppi HD Super Clear Touch Display and is powered by an 1.4GHz Quad-Core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Samsung Galaxy Note II launched in India for Rs. 39,900


Samsung has launched the most expected Galaxy Note II in India. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note II at IFA Berlin last month and the pre-booking started in India on Samsung eStore couple of weeks back. The Samsung Galaxy Note II comes with a 5.5-inch (1,280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display, 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash at the back and a 1.9MP front-facing camera. It has S Pen that comes with S Pen specific apps such as S Note, S Planner, Email with hand-writing integration and S Pen Keeper that alerts users if their pen is too far away from the Note II. YouTube for Android updated with New UI for Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices and more new features

YouTube for Android has been updated to version 4.1.23 that brings new UI for Android Froyo and Gingerbread devices. The home page now shows recommended video on top. You can now add video to YouTube TV queue from the app and pick more channels from the YouTube picks. The new UI and Preloading features were released for Android 4.0 devices in June. LG Optimus Vu II with 5-inch IPS display, 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM announced

LG has announced the Optimus Vu II, successor of the Optimus Vu. The specs are similar to the one that surfaced earlier this week. It has a 5-inch (1,024 x 768 pixels) IPS display similar to the Vu with a 4:3 Aspect Ratio. It has a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 8 Megapixel auto focus camera with BSI sensor, LED Flash and an 1.3MP front-facing camera. Foursquare for Android has been updated (v 2012.09.25) that brings new features including a new filter in the friends tab that only shows nearby friend checkins, social history for venue page that shows friend’s likes or dislikes and number of visits. Sony Xperia tipo and tipo dual officially launched in India for Rs. 9999 and Rs. 10499


Sony has officially launched the tipo and the tipo dual in India. Both these phones were announced in June and went on sale in India earlier this month. These phones havea  3.2-inch (480 x 320 pixels) 262k color TFT display and is powered by 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. These devices would come with 500 MB of free 3G data per month for three months for Vodafone subscribers, which is valid till 31st December 2012. LG Optimus Vu 2 specs surface, 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM

LG is yet to launch the Optimus Vu globally, but the specs for the Optimus Vu 2 has surfaced on a Korean blog Bad IT Tong. The LG Optimus Vu 2 would retain the same 5-inch (1,024 x 768 pixels) IPS display with 4:3 Aspect Ratio but it would have a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor instead of a Snapdragon Scorpion processor. It would have 2GB of RAM instead of the 1GB RAM in the Vu and would come with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Google has not submitted a new Google Maps App to Apple


Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt has confirmed that Google has not offered a new Google Maps app to Apple, according to a report from the Reuters. The new iOS 6 update that started rolling out for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch last week uses Apple’s own maps instead of Google Maps from the pervious versions of iOS.
