Nokia Lumia 920 Unboxing

Nokia unveiled the Lumia 920, their latest flagship device that runs on the Windows Phone 8 back in September. Here we have the unboxing. The box looks similar to the boxes of the previous Lumia devices. The device has a 4.5-inch (1280 × 768 pixels) Pure Motion HD+ IPS display with 332 PPI pixel density and 600 Nits brightness. It is one of the best smartphone displays . It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

Nokia Lumia 505 with Windows Phone 7.8 goes official

Nokia Lumia 505 that was surfaced earlier this month has gone official for Mexico. The design of the Lumia 505 is similar to the Lumia 800. It comes with a 3.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) AMOLED clear black display and runs on Windows Phone 7.8. It has a 8MP EDOF camera, unlike the other Lumia devices that has auto focus camera. It is 11.3 mm thick and weighs 131 grams. No details about the processor yet, but it is likely to come with a 800 MHz Snapdragon S1 processor similar to Lumia 510. Google+ for Android, iPhone and iPad updated with new features

Google has updated the Google+ apps for Android, iPhone and iPad. This brings new features including Google+ Communities, option to subscribe to any circle for notifications. This new Google+ version 3.3 update also adds option to view and explore Photo Sphere images and Google+ lock screen widget on devices running on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Google+ for iPhone and iPad version 4.0 update brings new compose window for easier sharing and lot of left out features such as new design and Find people options that are already available on Google+ for Android. ZTE to unveil Grand S with 5-inch 1080p display at CES 2013


ZTE has scheduled an event on January 8th at CES 2013 to launch their flagship Grands S smartphone in its high-end Grand Series. The company has also revealed that this would be the world’s thinnest 5-inch Smartphone with a FHD 1080p ( 1920 × 1080 pixels) display. Lava XOLO A800 Dual SIM Android Smartphone now available for Rs. 11999

Lava XOLO A800, new phone in the XOLO series is now available from online retailers Flipkart and Snapdeal. Most features are similar to the A700 that went on sale last month including Dual SIM support, 4.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) 16M color capacitive touch screen IPS display and 1GHz dual-core  processor. Unlike the 5MP auto focus camera in the A700, the XOLO A800 has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash, BSI Sensor for better low-light imaging and a VGA front-facing camera. Micromax A68 Smarty 4.0 with 4-inch display, Android 4.0 now available for Rs. 6490

Micromax A68 Smarty 4.0, new phone in the Smarty range is now available from online retailers Saholic and Flipkart. The company launched the A25 Smarty budget Android phone couple of months back. The A68 comes with 2G EDGE support similar to the A25. It has a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen IPS display and is powered by a 1 GHz MediaTek MT6515 processor. Nationwide Mobile Number Portability expected by February 2013


Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is expected to be rolled out Nationwide by February 2013, said Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal, according to report from Economic Times. This would let the subscribers retain their numbers even if they move to another state, irrespective of the service provider. Mobile Number Portability (MNP) went live in India back in January 2011 that enables users retain their number when they switch from one operator to another within the circle. UC Browser crosses 400 million users globally

UCWeb, china-based company has announced that their UC Browser has crossed 400 million users globally. The company has announced it at AppFest 2012, organised by Internet And Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) in Hyderabad. UC Browser has gained 100 million new users in less than a year and is on the top position among mobile browsers in India with market share of over 25%. Foursquare for Android updated with new Explore features, Swipeable Venue photos and more

Foursquare for Android has been updated (v 2012.12.12) that brings new features including important stuff in places to explore such as ratings and phone number for new places, swipeable photos at the top of the venues, popular tips at the places you have visited. The venue ratings were available for the Foursquare app for iPhone last month, that shows scores on a scale of 1 to 10 for a place to show how popular it is. BlackBerry 10 L-Series phone new images surface

New images of BlackBerry 10 L-Series phone has surfaced on a Vietnamese website . First Hands-on video of the BlackBerry 10 L-Series phone appeared back in October. These new images show the hardware in detail, including metal keys for the volume rocker and power button, micro USB and HDMI ports on the side, NFC support, micro SIM slot, micro SD card slot and a 1800 mAh battery.
