Apple published 41 patents on Thursday that includes components for covering sapphire window manufacturing for iPhone displays and camera covers, according to a new report from Apple Insider. Earlier this week documents published by the company revealed that Apple and manufacturing partner GT Advanced Technologies would open a sapphire production facility in Arizona by the end of February, according to a report from 9to5mac. HTC has announced the Desire 310, the company’s latest smartphone in the Desire series. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-core Mediatek MT6582M processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera without flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.  It also comes with dual SIM support with dual standby and has HTC BlinkFeed home screen .

Spanish handset maker Geeksphone unveiled their high-end smartphone called Revolution last month. We already know that the phone has a 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU and Hyper-Threading technology and runs dual OS, Android and Mozilla Open Web technology Boot2Geck. It also lets you change the OS with just a couple clicks. The company has not revealed the Android version yet. Samsung, Sony top trusted brands in India

Samsung has finally replaced Nokia as India’s Most Trusted Brand, according to a recent survey conducted by research firm Trust Research Advisory (TRA). Nokia, which continued to retain the first position in Brand Trust Report 2011, 2012 and 2013 has been pushed to 5th spot. Sony moved one spot up from 2013, to the 2nd place. LG moved 6 places up from last year to 4th spot. As you can see on the table below, Nokia is the only company in the Mobile Phone category since Samsung, Sony and LG come under consumer electronics category, even though they are popular for their smartphones.

LG G Pro 2 shows up in leaked images

Earlier this week LG confirmed that it would launch the LG G Pro 2, successor of the LG G Pro next month. Live images of the device has surfaced in Korea, which shows off G2-like  rear-mounted power button and volume keys, textured back panel, unlike G Pro’s shiny plastic panel with square pattern elements. Tata Group reportedly planning to exit telecom business

KT Corporation, one of the largest telecom providers in Korea has introduced the world’s first commercial LTE Broadcast/eMBMS (evolved Multimedia Broadcast and Multicast Service) for its subscribers using the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone. We already know that the LTE variant of the Note 3 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. This service is based on Qualcomm’s LTE Broadcast Solution, which includes highly optimized broadcast middleware, a software development kit (SDK) and the eMBMS-enabled Qualcomm LTE Advanced chipset. It now has over 100 million users globally, with a tremendous growth of 230% annually. It currently offers more than 200,000 mobile apps and games across most mobile platforms, including Android, Java, BlackBerry, Symbian and iOS.
