LG teases Optimus Vu Android smartphone with 5-inch display and 4:3 aspect ratio

LG has posted a teaser video of their new Android Smartphone, Optimus Vu that would come with  a 5-inch display with 4:3 aspect ratio. This would have 1024 x 768 pixels IPS display and powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processor according to Datacider. It would run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Motorola DROID 4 coming to Verizon on February 10 for $199.99


Motorola announced the DROID 4 last month for Verizon. The release date leaked earlier this week, and now Motorola has officially announced that the device would be available starting February 10 from Verizon Wireless. The Motorola DROID 4 comes with 4.0-inch qHD (940 x 540 pixels) display, five-row slide-out QWERTY keyboard and is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and has 8-megapixel HD rear camera with 1080p and 1.3-megapixel HD front-facing camera with 720p. IDC: Smartphone market hits all-time high in Q4 2011, Apple and Samsung top vendors by shipments


Apple and Samsung are the top Smartphone vendors by shipments  in Q4 2011 according to a report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation).  The worldwide smartphone market grew 54.7% year over year in Q4 2011. Shipment volumes reached 491.4 million units in 2011 that is up by 61.3% compared to 304.7 million units in 2010. Samsung confirms White Galaxy Nexus, coming to UK on February 13

Samsung has officially announced the White version of the Galaxy Nexus. Some online retailers in UK started taking pre-orders for the device early last month. This would come with same features of the black version such as 4.65-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1.2GHz dual core processor, NFC, 1GB RAM and HSPA+ connectivity. White Nokia Lumia 800 coming to Europe in February

 

Nokia Lumia 800 is now available in Black, Cyan and Pink, Nokia has announced that the Lumia 800 would be available in White later this month. The phone runs on Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) and is powered by a 1.4Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. Motorola Defy+ price drops to Rs. 15990


Motorola Defy+ Rugged Android smartphone has seen a price drop in India, which is now available for Rs. 15990. Motorola unveiled the device last August and launched in India in November 2011 for Rs. 17,990. It features 3.7 inch (480 x 854 pixels) display and is Water and scratch resistant and dustproof. It is powered by 1GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It comes with a 5 MP camera with LED/Supercap flash with video recording at 30 fps.
