Spice Dream UNO got the Android 5.1 (Lollipop) yesterday, Micromax has announced that the Lollipop over-the-air (OTA) update is now available for the Canvas A1 smartphone. Flipkart has started teasing the arrival of the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone ahead of the launch event on March 23rd, Monday. Flipkart is also expected to sell the Galaxy S6 smartphone. Lenovo launched the A6000 smartphone in India back in January and the first flash sale happened at the end of January on Flipkart. Now the company has announced that the smartphone will be available without registrations in open sale from March 23rd till March 25th, 2015 on Flipkart. It says that the offer is valid till stocks last, but it is not clear if the stocks will be replenished every day of the sale till March 25th. Airtel has launched 4G services in Moga, Punjab. Airtel had already launched 4G services in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Phagwara, Kapurthala and Patiala in Punjab and Haryana circles, this becomes the 11th town in the state to get Airtel 4G services. Vector has introduced Vector Watch, the company’s first smartwatch at Basel even in Switzerland. It uses memory LCD that promises 30 days of battery life. Gionee has sent out invites for the launch of its Elife S7 in India on April 4th. The smartphone was announced at the MWC earlier this month and packs a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6752 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Amigo 3.0 UI on top. HTC just announced that it has appointed the company’s Chairwoman Cher Wang as the company’s CEO effective immediately, replacing Peter Chou. He will now head HTC Future Development Lab andwill be instrumental in identifying future growth opportunities for the company, said HTC. In addition to activity tracking, this also offers smart notifications such as vibration alerts for calls, texts, calendar reminders, emails and more when connected to a smartphone. It offers personalized daily goals and has a touch screen display that show time of day, steps, distance, calories, move bar, goal countdown and more.
