Huawei announced the G8, a new smartphone in the G Series at the IFA. Now the company has released (Via) the same phone as the G7 Plus in some markets such as China, Vietnam and Thailand. To remind you, the smartphone packs a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 616 SoC, runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Huawei Emotion UI 3.1, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, comes with all-metal uni-body build and a fingerprint sensor 2.0 on the back. Lenovo K3 Note sales cross 1 million in four months on Flipkart in India

Lenovo today announced that it has sold one million units of K3 Note smartphone in India on Flipkart in less than four months after its launch on July 8th. The company recently launched the K3 Note Music edition with Ceramic speakers for Rs. 12499 that is now available across 1400 Lenovo exclusive stores and smartphone retail stores across India. Today the company has launched 1GB and 3GB RAM variants of the smartphone, compared to 2GB of RAM in the original variant. Other specifications, including 5-inch HD IPS display, 1.3GHz quad-core 64-bit processor, Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Amigo UI 3.1, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS screen, is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor, has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has a detachable keyboard with a touchpad so that it can double up as a laptop and comes with built-in 3G support via SIM slot. The company has partnered with Snapdeal for the device. Lenovo announces open sale for P1m on November 9 on Flipkart

Lenovo launched its P1m smartphone with a huge 4000mAh battery in India at a price tag of Rs. 7999 last month. It went on sale exclusively on Flipkart last week, today the company has announced that the smartphone will be available through an open sale on November 9th starting from 10AM on Flipkart. The sale is only for limited period says Lenovo, so you might have to get the smartphone as soon as the sale opens. Apple has launched the Apple Watch in India, as it promised last month. It was unveiled back in September last year and went on sale in several countries in April earlier this year. Apple Watch has Retina display with Force Touch and Ion-X glass, a hardened glass for protection. The 38mm version has a 1.34-inch (272 x 340 pixels) AMOLED display at 326ppi and the 42mm version has a 1.54-inch (312 x 390 pixels) AMOLED display at 326ppi. Microsoft has announced that it has acquired Mobile Data Labs, creator of the popular MileIQ automatic mileage tracking app that tracks the miles you drive for business. It takes advantage of sensors in mobile devices to automatically and contextually capture, log and calculate business miles, allowing users to claim tax deductions. It has over 1 million users and has been the top-grossing finance app in the iTunes store for 20 months, said Microsoft. It has also been top-performing Finance app in the Google Play since launch. OnePlus launched the OnePlus X smartphone in India last week stating at Rs. 16999, which went on sale today. We already brought you the hands-on impressions, unboxing and camera samples, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974) 28nm HPm Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.27 GHz per core, slightly under-clocked compared to clock speed of 2.46 GHz on the OnePlus One and has Adreno 330 GPU. Huawei Kirin 950 Octa-Core 16nm SoC with Mali T880 GPU announced

Huawei has announced Kirin 950 SoC at an event in Beijing today. It is an Octa-Core SoC with four ARM Cortex A72 Cores that can be clocked up to 2.53 GHz and four ARM Cortex A53 Cores that can be clocked up to 1.8 GHz. It is based on ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture so it can alternate between the Cortex A72 or A53 cores depending on the type of tasks.
