Samsung launched the Galaxy A5 (2016) smartphone, along with the Galaxy A7 (2016) smartphone earlier this month for Rs. 29,400. We recently brought you the unboxing, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 7580 64-bit processor that has eight ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz per core. It has Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 5.2-inch 1080p screen and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.

Geekbench 3 Single-Core
It scored 710 points in the Geekbench 3 Single-Core benchmark and grabs the third spot.
Geekbench 3 Multi-Core
It scored 3558 points in the Geekbench 3 Multi-Core benchmark and grabs the third spot, behind the Galaxy J7 that is also powered by the same processor.
GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex (On screen)
It clocked 779 frames or 12.9 fps in the GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex OnScreen.
GFXBench 3.0 Manhattan (On screen)
It managed to clock 298.1 frames or 4.9 fps in the GFXBench 3.0 Manhattan OnScreen benchmark.
3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited
It scored 7945 points in the 3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited GPU Benchmark.
Basemark X 1.0 HD (Onscreen)
It managed to clock just 6.39 fps in the Basemark X 1.0 OnScreen benchmark.
Basemark X 1.0 HD (Offscreen)
It managed to clock 6.1 fps in the Basemark X 1.0 OffScreen benchmark.
