Telegram fined $18.5 million by US SEC for offering illegal “Grams” digital tokens

Telegram, a popular messaging app, has been found in violation of US federal securities laws by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and has been fined a civil penalty of $18.5 million. The complaint was focused on their blockchain based Telegram Open Network (TON) and their cryptocurrency called “Grams”.

Amazon Prime Video gets “Watch Party” feature starting from the US

Amazon Prime Video is launching a new feature called “Watch Party” that enables co-viewing of  Prime Video content for users in the US with a prime membership. Each Watch Party can support up to 100 participants at a time, with synchronised playback and the ability to chat with text and built-in emojis.

10.8-inch Apple iPad said to launch later this year; 8.5-inch iPad Mini in 2021

A research note from Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that Apple is working towards launching a 10.8-inch iPad by the end of 2020 and a 8.5-inch iPad Mini sometime in 2021. The iPad Mini will likely be updated with the newer A13 Bionic while the 10.8-inch iPad might be upgraded from its A10 Fushion Chip.

Apple iPhone 12 will not come with a charger or EarPods in the box: Rumour

Last week, a rumour surfaced claiming that Apple will not include a power adapter in the box with a purchase of the iPhone 12. A research note from popular Apple supply chain analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, appears to confirm the rumour, stating that Apple will not include both earpods or a charger, instead sell a 20W charger as an optional accessory.

Google will now auto-delete location, search data by default for new users after 18 months

Last year, Google rolled out a feature that gave users the option to auto-delete their user data from some of Google’s core services, namely Location History, search, voice and YouTube activity data. Today they announced that Google will be turning on this option by default, instead of the data being kept until the user chooses to delete it themselves.

Facebook announces end of cycle for its affordable Oculus Go VR headset
