Google removes over 70 malicious Chrome add-ons after global surveillance spyware campaign

Researchers from the Awake Security Threat team has discovered a global surveillance campaign that uses spyware software via extensions found on the Google Chrome Webstore. These malicious extensions have nearly 33 million downloads and almost all of them used domains that were linked to small registrar in Israel called Galcomm.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 gets blood pressure monitoring in Health Monitor app starting from South Korea

Samsung has officially launched Samsung Health Monitor app for users of the  Galaxy Watch Active 2 in South Korea. The feature was first announced back in April, after Samsung received certification from South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) to release an over-the-counter and cuffless blood pressure monitoring application.

Worldwide smartwatch shipments records 12% YoY growth in Q1 2020: Report

While the worldwide smartphone market saw a decline of 11.7% YoY, the worldwide smartwatch market recorded a growth of 12% YoY, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Apple continued to lead the market with their Apple Watch Series devices, followed by Huawei, Samsung, Garmin and Fitbit.
