World’s first Separable Phone from Docomo – Hands On Video

During MWC 2010 , NTT Docomo from Japan had something interesting to offer to visitors. We spotted the world’s first separable phone.

Imagine being able to use one portion of your phone as controller for games. This phone takes multitasking to the ultimate level. You can take notes and check schedules on the touchscreen unit while making phone calls with the keypad unit.

At the Samsung Booth at MWC 2010, we managed to get a short video overview of the Samsung TouchWiz  3.0 UI running on the first Bada phone – Samsung Wave. Nokia Siemens Networks bags 700 million USD network expansion contract from Bharti Airtel

Looks like Nokia Siemens Networks is on the road to recovery after making some huge losses in 2009. NSN or Nokia Siemens Networks has bagged a 700 million USD or Rs.3500 crores.  Bharti Airtel aims to improve customer satisfaction with this expansion.  Network capacity is going to be increased by 50% in 8 circles – Mumbai, Maharashtra & Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh & Chattisgarh, Bihar & Jharkhand, Orissa, Kolkata and West Bengal.

Each and everyone of us use a SIM card today. Not only one, may be many.What was once an expensive chip to acquire back in the early days of mobile telephony has become a very cheap plastic card that is available even for free if the mobile operators are desperate to add new connections. Yesterday Apple announced the iPad which works over Wi-Fi and 3G / GSM networks with microSIM cards. If you thought that the MicroSIM or 3FF Sim Card is a new invention , you might be wrong . The introduction of these cards dates back to 2003.
