Twitter acquires Tweetie and makes it the Free Official iPhone Client

Great news for Twitter users today. After announcing the Official Blackberry Client,  Twitter Inc. has announced that it has acquired popular Twitter Client Tweetie along with it’s developer from Atebits.  The app is currently priced at $2.99 but going forward the app will be totally free as it will become the Official iPhone Twitter client and will be called Twitter for iPhone

Videocon launches GSM Mobile Services in Chennai

The Videocon Group, one of India’s leading global business conglomerates which recently released an arsenal of mobile phones has now launched its GSM mobile services. The service offering a scheme of ‘sub 1 paise effective tariff’ will be available in 100 cities all over the country. Mr.Venugopal Dhoot, the chairman of the Videocon Group launched the service in Chennai with actress Shruti Hassan during the inauguration ceremony. The specs of the soon to be released Nokia N8-00 have been spotted on the Nokia.com website in the form of a UAProfile.  This might be the first Symbian ^ 3 phone from the handset maker as the xml file mentions Symbian 3 and also Symbian 5.2.
