Hardware and software make the product but it is the experience that sells the idea behind it. An ideology well adopted by Apple and the iPhone and now by Google to an extent. In Beijing, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu launched a brand new device lies at the top end of their product portfolio. Called the PRO 5, the phone marks the launch of a fresh new brand dubbed PRO that will also incorporate accessories like premium headphones. We got a chance to checkout the product at the launch event. While its way too early to give a verdict, brief impressions indicate that Meizu could have a winner on their hands. At an event in Beijing, Meizu today announced the launch of a brand new flagship handset. Called the Meizu PRO 5, the phone aims to be the top of the line flagship for the Chinese brand. The phone is powered by a 2.5 GHz Samsung Exynos 7420 processor and comes 3GB or 4GB RAM variants. As stated earlier by Meizu, the phone has restricted itself to a full HD panel despite having upped the screen size to 5.7 inches. With an all metal build, the phone continues the same design language that has become synonymous with Meizu. The phone sports a 21.6MP camera module at the rear with laser auto focus for 0.7 second quick capture that is accompanied by a 5MP camera up front. Google has for the most part kept its distance from China, a market that has perhaps one of the largest user base of Android running devices.
