Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet specifications leaked: Snapdragon 800, Android 4.4 KitKat and 3GB RAM

Last year Sony launched the Xperia Tablet Z, the company’s first 10-inch waterproof tablet. evleaks has just leaked the specifications of the Xperia Z2 Tablet ahead of MWC 2014. The successor would have the same 10.1-inch HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA display, but this would be powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor instead of Snapdragon S4 Pro chip. Samsung Galaxy Note Pro and Tab Pro tablets get priced in the US, launching on February 13th

Samsung introduced the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, TabPRO 12.2, TabPRO 10.1 and TabPRO 8.4 tablets with WQXGA (2560 x 1600) displays and Android 4.4 (Kitkat) at the CES 2014 last month. These tablets are available for pre-order from Office Depot, Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon and more retailers in the US and would go on sale on February 13th, just in time for the Valentine’s day. It has a 4.7-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display, 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). The tablet has Education materials for students, and tools for teachers to manage e-learning classrooms. It is a part of Intel Education Solutions which has Intel Education Software that includes tools for 21st century learning, communication, collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking and literary skills. This tablet is rugged, which can withstand 70 cm drop, has IP52 rating for dust and water resistance. Among the three tablets that were unveiled, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is the biggest and has a larger display when compared to Apple iPad Air. At the CES 2014, Samsung announced a new series of Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro tablets and a huge Galaxy Note tablet. Among the three tablets of the Galaxy Tab Pro series that were unveiled, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is the biggest and has exactly same features and specifications as the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. It has a 7 -inch (1024 x 600 pixels) 5-point multi-touch display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snadpragon processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s Emotion UI 1.6 on top. It has 3G connectivity through a SIM card slot, 3-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera.

Dell Venue 8 Pro launched in India for Rs. 26,499, availability starting February 2014

The Dell Venue 8 Pro, a 8 inch Windows 8.1 tablet that we reviewed earlier, has been officially launched in India by Dell for a price of Rs. 26,499 for the base 32 GB WiFi model. Powered by the Intel Atom Z3740D Bay Trail Quad Core processor running at 1.8 GHz, the Venue 8 Pro offers the full Windows experience, with surprisingly decent gaming performance to boot. One of the thinnest Windows tablets around, the Venue 8 Pro joins the Acer Iconia W4 in its foray into the increasingly crowded small tablet market, with the added advantage of a full fledged desktop operating system, made easier for touch.
