At the CES 2014, Samsung announced a new series of Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro tablets and a huge Galaxy Note tablet. Among the three tablets of the Galaxy Tab Pro series that were unveiled, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is the biggest and has exactly same features and specifications as the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2 with 7-inch display, quad-core processor, Android 4.3 announced

Huawei unveiled the MediaPad 7 Youth last year, now the company has unveiled MediaPad 7 Youth2, successor of the first MediaPad Youth tablet . It has a 7 -inch (1024 x 600 pixels) 5-point  multi-touch display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snadpragon processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s Emotion UI 1.6 on top. It has 3G connectivity through a SIM card slot, 3-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera.

Dell Venue 8 Pro launched in India for Rs. 26,499, availability starting February 2014

The Dell Venue 8 Pro, a 8 inch Windows 8.1 tablet that we reviewed earlier, has been officially launched in India by Dell for a price of Rs. 26,499 for the base 32 GB WiFi model. Powered by the Intel Atom Z3740D Bay Trail Quad Core processor running at 1.8 GHz, the Venue 8 Pro offers the full Windows experience, with surprisingly decent gaming performance to boot. One of the thinnest Windows tablets around, the Venue 8 Pro joins the Acer Iconia W4 in its foray into the increasingly crowded small tablet market, with the added advantage of a full fledged desktop operating system, made easier for touch.

iBall Slide 3G 7271 HD7 went on sale recently, now the iBall Slide 7236 2G is available on eBay. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and comes with 2G support. Other features are similar to the Slide 3G 7271 including a 1.3 GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor, Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Asus Transformer Book Duet TD300 Hands on

The original Asus Transformer tablet was a very interesting product as it was one of the first multiple usage device that could be used as a tablet as well as a laptop. However, the Transformer series has failed to make a commercial impact so far and Asus is not losing heart yet. At CES 2014, they announced another Transformer device – the Transformer Book Duet tablet/laptop that runs both Android and Windows 8.1. Micromax Funbook P365 and Funbook P256 with 7-inch display now available

Two new Micromax Funbook tablets, the Micromax Funbook P365 and the Funbook P256 are available  online. These tablets have a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. The Funbook P365 is  powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Funbook P256 is powered by a 1.2 GHz single-core Cortex A8 processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The P365 comes with a 2G SIM slot and voice calling, while the P256 doesn’t have a SIM slot. Both these support 3G via dongle. Asus PadFone Mini Hands on

Among the numerous Android smartphones and tablets that Asus showcased at CES 2014 was its trademark PadFone device. However, unlike the previous iterations of PadFone series, this year, Asus has decided to tone down a little in terms of specifications. The yesteryear PadFone devices had top of the draw specifications, but this year’s Asus PadFone Mini is a more subtle yet affordable PadFone offering. Samsung has announced the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, a cheaper version of last year’s Tab 3. This has a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top. It has a 2-megapixel rear camera. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite SM-T110 User manual leaks out

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite may not be official yet, but it sure will be among the cheapest tablets from Samsung when it is made official. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite’s user manual has leaked online in the company’s Polish website. Apart from the official leak, a Polish retailer has started taking orders for this cheap tablet – $165 for the WiFi model and $263 for the 3G Model.

Xolo launched the Xolo Play Tegra Note powered by a Tegra 4 chip last month. We already brought you the hands-on and the unboxing of the tablet, here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Tegra Note is powered by a 1.8 GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 CPU with 72 Core NVIDIA GeForce GPU and runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display and packs 1GB of RAM. Let’s find out how the Tegra Note performs in range of synthetic benchmark tests.

OPlus launches XonPad 7 tablet with 1.2 Ghz Quad Core processor, 7″ display for Rs. 9,990

OPlus has partnered with Snapdeal to launch a new 7 inch tablet called the XonPad7. The tablet is powered by a 1.2Ghz Quad Core Processor built on the 28nm process which should help increase battery longevity a bit. The specifications include 1GB of RAM as well as a 3G capabilities which means that you’ll be able to pop in a SIM card and surf the internet without having to rely on WiFI connectivity. The tablet is capable of voice calling.

Oplus XonPad 7

You also the standard WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. The XonPad7 has a 5MP rear facing camera and a 2MP front facing shooter. Users get Android 4.2 onboard the tablet. There’s 16GB of storage that can be expanded thanks to the microSD card slot. The battery rated at 3,500 mAh should be good enough for over a day of usage. The display has a resolution of 1280 x 800 which is just about sufficient for a 7 inch panel. Being an IPS display, viewing angles are quite decent. OPlus has partnered with Snapdeal for online distribution. The tablet is priced at Rs. 9,990.
