Lenovo A7-50, the company’s latest tablet is now on sale in India through the official online store. It was announced back in April along with a range of tablets. It has a 7-inch (1280 x 800) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8382 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) that is upgradable to Android 4.4 (KitKat). Intel unveils ultra-thin Llama Mountain prototype tablet cum laptop

Dell announces new Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablets with Android 4.4 KitKat

Dell has unveiled two Android tablets that are an upgrade to its Venue series at the Computex. Dubbed as Venue 7 and Venue 8, the tablets run on latest Android KitKat 4.4 and starts at US$159 and US$199 respectively.

Asus has announced Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) and a new version of the Fonepad 7 (FE375CG) at the Computex 2014. The Fonepad 8 has a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display with 5.06mm narrow bezel bezel and a screen-to-body ratio of 72.2%. The Fonepad 7 has a 7-inch (1280 x 800) display. Both these tablets are powered by a 1.8 GHz quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 processor with PowerVR Series 6 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Zen UI . It has four ARM Cortex A7 cores, each clocked up to 1.5 GHz and has a quad-core ARM Mali-450 MP4 GPU. India registers 32% decline in tablet shipments for Q1 2014: IDC

Poor user demand has resulted into a sluggish start of the 2014 for the Indian tablet market. As per recent report from IDC, tablet shipments in India dropped by 32.8 per cent for the first quarter of 2014 at 0.78 million units.

Intel joins hands with Rockchip to develop low-cost chips for Android tablets

In a bid to boost sales of low-end Android tablets, Intel has teamed up with Chinese mobile chipmaker Rockchip. Under the agreement, the chipmakers signed an agreement to jointly offer a quad-core processor and integrated modem called SoFIA, which will be available in the first half of 2015, said Intel in an official release.

Toshiba has introduced two brand new tablets that run on full version of Windows 8.1. Dubbed as Encore 2, the Japanese company has unveiled two tablets is 8 inch and 10.1 inch model. Toshiba had launched the original Encore tablet in an 8-inch configuration for $329 last year in September.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S Series surfaced earlier this month and is rumored to come in both 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch variants. Few weeks back live images of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 with dimpled back. Still we haven’t seen the live images of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (SM-T700) , but the complete specifications has surfaced on AnTuTu benchmark. LG G Pad 7.0 live images surface, specs detailed

Images of the LG G Pad 7.0 has been leaked by a French website FrAndroid before the official launch. Announced earlier this month, LG G Pad 7.0 is the smallest tablet in the G Pad series which also has G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1.
