Apple iPad mini 3 with Touch ID official, starts at $399

Apple just unveiled the iPad mini 3 with Retina iPad along with the iPad Air 2 as expected.It has the same 7.9 inch Retina Display with 2048×1536 resolution seen on last year’s iPad mini with Retina Display and the same Apple A7 processor with M7 motion co-processor, but this has a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, similar to the iPad Air 2. New Motorola tablet might be released after Lenovo completes acquisition

Lenovo has launched Yoga Tablet 2 models in India. These were announced last week and come in 8-inch and 10-inch variants with Full HD (1920×1200) IPS displays and Android 4.4 or Windows 8.1 options. These are powered by a powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 Processor (up to 1.86 GHz), have unique convertible design and a new Hang mode. Lava has launched the Xtron Z704, a new tablet in the Xtron  range.  It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek 8127 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Google announces HTC-made Nexus 9 with a 4:3 8.9″ screen and Tegra K1

Looks like Google is finally going head-on with Apple in the tablet space, with the just announced Nexus 9 in partnership with HTC. The Nexus 9 comes with a 4:3 aspect ratio screen, unlike all the previous Nexus tablets and hence becomes a legitimate competitor to the iPad mini. Designed in collaboration with HTC, the Nexus 9 features a soft touch back and a metallic frame, lending a premium look and feel for the device. The 8.9″ 2048×1536 screen is supported by the 64-bit Tegra K1 Processor that accompanies the monstrous Kepler GPU. This combination reminds us of the recently launched Xiaomi MiPad that has a similar screen aspect ratio and specifications.

Huawei already announced that it would launched the Honor X1 tablet in India soon. Today the company launched the tablet in India. It is the same MediaPad X1 tablet that was announced earlier this year at the MWC. It has a 7-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s own Emotion UI on top. These are powered by a  powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 Processor (up to 1.86 GHz), have unique convertible design and a new Hang mode. The 10-inch models have Clamshell Bluetooth Keyboard Dock and optional Bluetooth AccuType keyboard cover. Sharp to debut 7 inch tablet with MEMS and IGZO display technology in 2015

Sharp has announced that it will introduce a new 7 inch tablet that will boast two different display technologies. The tablet which will be ready by 2015 will have Sharp’s own energy-efficient IGZO tech, and Qualcomm’s light-reflecting Mirasol project.

Lenovo A8-50, the company’s latest A series tablet is now on sale in India on Flipkart, after the A7-30 and the A7-50 tablets. It was unveiled earlier this year and packs a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) display, quad-core MediaTek processor and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), which is upgradable to Android 4.4 (Kitkat). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
