Google announced at its event earlier this week that it will roll out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for Nexus devices starting from next week. HTC already confirmed list of 12 devices that will get the update, Motorola just announced the list of smartphones that will get the Android 6.0 update first. This includes the Moto X (2nd Gen, 3rd Gen Pure Edition, Style and Play), Moto G (2nd and 3rd Gen), DROID Turbo, Moto MAXX and Moto Turbo. Motorola launched its mid-range Moto X Play smartphone in India last month starting at Rs. 18,499. Now the company has started teasing the launch of its high-end Moto X Style smartphone in India on its social channels. The Moto X Style was announced back in July, along with the Moto X Play.

Google unveiled the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones at an event earlier this week. Flipkart has started teasing the launch of the Huawei-made Nexus 6P smartphone in India. This time Flipkart doesn’t have a ticker to show the pre-order date of the latest Nexus smartphone, like it did for last year’s Nexus 6 launch. Since the smartphone is shipping for pre-ordered customers later this month in some countries, we can expect the pre-order to start in India later this month and it might go on sale next month. The 2nd generation Motorola Moto X that was released in 2014 was released running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat but eventually got the update to Android 5.1 Lollipop via an OTA update. Now, we have good news as the device has now been certified to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

It has been rumoured for quite a while that Samsung might use a Qualcomm processor for some of the Galaxy S7 units ie the Snapdragon 820. While it has been somewhat uncertain so far, now it seems more than likely considering the reliability of the source.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 (SM-T815Y) in the new Tab S2 series in India for Rs. 39,400 last month. We brought you the photo gallery and the unboxing of the tablet recently, here we have its benchmarks. It is powered by Exynos 5433 Octa ( 4 x A57 1.9 GHz + 4 x A53 1.3 GHz) processor with ARM Mail T760 GPU, which is better than the Exynos 5420 Octa SoC in last year’s Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Tab S 8.4 tablets. It has a 9.7-inch (2048×1536 pixels) 4:3 QXGA Super AMOLED display and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Samsung’s own UI on top. Samsung teased the Galaxy View (SM-T670), a large-screen tablet at the IFA last month. Now the tablet has surfaced on the GFXBench (Via) that confirms the specifications that surfaced earlier. Even though the new benchmark listing says that the tablet doesn’t have a rear camera, earlier rumors said that the tablet has an 8-megapixel rear camera. HTC One E9s dual sim, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone is now available in India from eBay. It got certified in China back in June and packs a 5.5-inch HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752M 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with HTC’s own Sense UI. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an UltraPixel front-facing camera.

BlackBerry has updated the BBM app for iPhone that finally brings support for Apple Watch. It lets you quickly reply to messages you receive with Ok, Yes or No directly from the Watch. You can also reply with emoticons or use voice input. WhatsApp for iPhone is yet to get Apple Watch support. The latest update also brings support for quick reply option for iPhone, directly from the notification shade without opening the app, PayPal integration and more.
