Samsung Galaxy Express with 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, Android 4.1 announced

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Express, new Android smartphone in the Galaxy series that comes with LTE support. It has a 4.5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. It has a 5MP Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash, 720p video recording 5MP Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash, 720p video recording and 1.3MP front-facing camera and 1.3MP front-facing camera. This comes with Mobile High Definition Link (MHL), Near Field Communication (NFC) with S Beam and AllShare Play. Micromax A65 Smarty 4.3 now available for Rs. 4999

Micromax A65 Smarty 4.3 Dual SIM Android smartphone is now available from online retailers Saholic and Flipkart in India. It has a 4.3-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). This has a 2MP camera at the back with LED flash and even has a VGA front-facing camera, but this phone lacks 3G support similar to the Micromax A68 Smarty 4.0 that was launched last month. Apple releases iOS 6.1 for iPhone , iPod touch and iPad

Apple has just released the iOS 6.1 software update for the iPhone , iPad and iPod touch. The update just showed up on my iPhone 5 and was about 100MB in size. It looks like an update to fix a lot of bugs.

NXG Electronics, a Pune based company has launched Xfab 2 mini, Dual SIM Android smartphone in India. It features a 4.7-inch (960 × 540 pixels) IPS display and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor. It has a 12 MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. Nokia and Airtel launch co-branded version of Nokia Xpress Browser

Bharti Airtel and Nokia has launched a customized version of Nokia Xpress Browser for the Airtel customers with Nokia Asha and select Series 40 devices. The Nokia Xpress browser usually comes pre-loaded on Asha phones, but the new co-branded version would offer the Airtel subscribers and enhanced experience, by providing them with one-click access to Airtel’s premium mobile internet services and easy discoverability of rich content on-the-go. Spice Stellar Nhance Mi-435, a new Android smartphone in the Stellar series is now available from online retailer Saholic. The Spice Stellar Xtacy Mi-352, an entry-level smartphone went on sale earlier this month. The Stellar Nhance has a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 8 MP auto focus camera with LED Flash at the back and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. This would compete with the recently launched Xolo A500 that lies in the similar price range, and comes with similar features. Nokia introduces Music+ low-cost subscription service for Lumia devices

Nokia has announced Music+, a low-cost music subscription service for Lumia users that would offer high quality music with infinite skips, unlimited downloads and lots more. Nokia introduced Nokia Music, free music streaming service for US customers, but it had limited features. The new Music+ service would offer music downloads at 3.99 Euros per month. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 311 pre-booking starts, priced at Rs. 13900

Samsung has started pre-booking for the Galaxy Tab 2 311 (GT-P3110), Wi-Fi variant of the Galaxy Tab 2 310 on their eStore. The Galaxy Tab 2 310 was announced back in February 2012, and launched in India in May. It got the Android 4.1.1 update last month, but the Tab 311 would come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. Karbonn S1 Titanium, the company’s upcoming flagship phone has surfaced on their official site. It packs in a 4.5-inch qHD (960 × 540 pixels) multi-touch display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has has Dual SIM support, 5MP Auto Focus Camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. This would compete with the recently launched Micromax A116 Canvas HD that also comes with a quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. Samsung has announced the Galaxy Xcover 2, successor of the Galaxy Xcover that was introduced back in 2011. The Xcover 2 is water resistant to a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes with IP67 certification, and is also dust and sand proof. It has upgraded specifications including a 4.0-inch WVGA (480 × 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5MP Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash, 720p video recording and VGA secondary camera. It also comes with a dedicated camera key. It has Samsung’s unique features such as S-Cloud, S Voice and Smart Stay. It comes with Cardio Trainer Pro workout application.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 OTA update now rolling out in India

Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update in India. The Samsung Galaxy S3 was launched in India in May last year running Android 4.0 ICS, and it got the Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) update in November last year.
