Samsung Galaxy Xcover rugged Android phone announced
Samsung has announced its first rugged phone, Samsung Galaxy Xcover, which is the new addition to the Galaxy series . It runs Android 2.3 and comes with scratch resistant display, and it is dirt and water-resistant up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. This phone would compete with Motorola’s rugged phone, Motorola Defy that was launched last year.

- Wi-Fi n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, USB 2.0
- 3.5mm audio jack
- 150 MB internal memory and the expandable external memory up to 32GB with MicroSD
- Waterproof up to 1 meter depth
- 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery
Some of the specifications like processor is still unknown.The price is still not available, but it is expected to be around € 250 (US$ 355). It would be available in Germany starting this October.
