Months after introducing the Fire TV, an Android-based streaming box, Amazon has introduced Fire TV Stick, the company’s first streaming stick and the competitor of Google Chromecast stick. It connects to the HDMI port on HDTV and uses USB port for Power, similar to Chromecast so that you can stream content such as movies, TV shows, music, photos, apps, and games from Amazon content library, mirror your phone or a tablet and automatically upload photos or videos to Amazon Cloud Drive. LG introduced the Isai FL (LGL24) for Japanese operator KDDI back in May. Today the company has refreshed the smartphone and introduced a new variant called isai VL (LGV31) with 3GB RAM and Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) support. Other specifications are similar to the Isai FL, including a 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS display, 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330, Android 4.4 (KitKat), 13.2-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, 4K video recording and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Sundar Pichai, who is currently Senior Vice President at Google, overseeing Chrome, Android, and Google Apps will be overseeing research, search, maps, Google+, commerce and ads, in addition to the products he already handles, according to reports from Recode and Reuters. Six executives who previously reported to Larry Page, including the heads of research, social media and search, will now report to Pichai, says Recode.
