Lava has launched Iris X1, the company’s latest budget smartphone in the Iris series as it promised recently. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Broadcom BCM23550 processor with Videocore IV GPU and runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) out of the box. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, dual LED flash, Multi-Element Lens, 1.4 mm Pixel Size and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a similar design as the Iris Pro series. Vineet Taneja joins Micromax as CEO from Samsung India
Micromax has announced that it has appointed Vineet Taneja as Chief Executive Officer. He previously served as country Head for IT & Mobile businesses of Samsung India before leaving the company few weeks back. He joined Samsung back in March 2013 and had previously served in Bharti Airtel, Nokia India (between January 2008 to April 2010) and Hindustan Lever. He will focus on consolidating Micromax’s strong presence in the market, driving global partnerships and strategic alliances while strengthening the organizational capabilities within Micromax, said the company. Sony D2403, an unknown device has been spotted on GFXBench. This reveals the complete specifications of the smartphone. Facebook wants to help you decide your next lunch or dinner destination as it has added menus to restaurant Pages. The social network is using a tool called SinglePlatform which will allow business owners to upload their entire food or beverage menu onto Facebook.

Google is reportedly working on tablet that boasts of advanced vision capabilities that can take precise 3D images of objects, according a latest report from the Wall Street Journal. Nokia X2 (RM-1013), the successor of the Nokia X, the company’s first Android smartphone surfaced few days back on a Chinese website. Now the smartphone has appeared on AnTuTu benchmark. Huawei Honor 3X Pro with 5.5-inch 1080p display and Honor 3C 4G with Android 4.4 announced
Huawei has announced the Honor 3X Pro and the 4G variant of the Honor 3C in China. It unveiled the Honor 3X and the Honor 3C back in December last year. The Honor 3C was launched in India earlier this month and the international variant of the Honor 3X was launched as Ascend G750. The Honor 3X Pro is powered by the same 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Emotion UI 2.0, but this has a 5.5-inch 1080p LTPS display, unlike the 720p display on the Honor 3X. Any.do clocks 10 million mobile users, launches web app
Any.do, one of the popular to-do apps for Android and iPhone has launched its first web app on web.any.do. It has also announced that it has crossed 10 million users on mobile. The web app is still in beta but you can sign up with your e-mail to get a pass code for the access. This syncs tasks between your mobile apps and has desktop-friendly UI with new focus and planning modes. This let users view tasks in a single column or across all folders at once.
