Google Contacts v1.5 revamps UI, adds hamburger menu and more

contacts

Google Contacts app for Android has been updated to version 1.5 which brings new features, refreshed designs and improvements.

First up, the update brings the popular hamburger menu on the left in the Contacts app. Instead of the Favourites and All tabs, you will now see a single contacts list with a sidebar menu available via the hamburger button.

You can now manage your duplicate contacts and the app will offer suggestions on what might be duplicated and you will be able to dismiss it altogether or link the two, making a single contact for that person. The app will also let you also filter contacts by labels and accounts.

The Google Contacts update is rolling out slowly for all users but if you don’t want to wait here is the APK.
