It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Back in July, Jolla, the smartphone start up company from Finland announced its plan to launch its first Jolla smartphone in India exclusively on Snapdeal. Now the company announced that it would launch the smartphone in India on September 23rd. It was launched in Hong Kong last month. Xiaomi has announced that 60,000 units of Remi 1S smartphones would be available in fourth flash sale in India. This is 20,000 more than first three sales. It took 3.4 seconds for the company to sell 40,000 units in its third sale earlier this week. This is less than both the first and second sales. Amazon introduced the new Kindle Voyage and the upgraded Kindle in the U.S. few hours back, it has also launched the new Kindle in India. It has the same 6-inch ( 600 x 800 pixels) display at 167 PPI pixel density similar to the last year’s non-touch Kindle, but this has a touch screen, similar to the Kindle Touch. Lenovo A7-30 tablet with voice calling went on sale in India back in June for Rs. 9,979. We brought you the unboxing and the photo gallery of the tablet recently, here are the benchmarks of the tablet. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT8382 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali 400-MP2 GPU and has 1GB RAM. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) multi touch IPS display. Samsung has cut the price of the Galaxy Core 2 to Rs. 8,007 in India, soon after the launch of Android One smartphones. Prior to the price cut it was selling for Rs.11,900 on the official eStore, which is the launch price of the smartphone. Lava rolled out Android 4.4 (KitKat) over-the-air (OTA) update for the Iris 504Q+ back in July, now the company has started rolling out Android 4.4 update for the Iris 405+ smartphone. It was launched back in January running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The KitKat update for the smartphone should offer improved user experience through an enhanced user interface and software performance.It also brings a new dialer app. Lava is yet to release the official changelog for the update. Metis Learning, an education startup has launched Eddy G70, successor of Eddy that was launched earlier this year. It is an Android-based learning tablet for kids that comes with over 160 of the learning apps. It is based on Android 4.2.2 with an overlay of the proprietary Athena OS that is created specifically for children. Metis has partnered with Intel and Amazon for the tablet. Intex has launched the Aqua T2, the latest smartphone in the Aqua series. Intex says that this is the cheapest smartphone running Android 4.4 (KitKat) in India. The company launched the Aqua 4X last week, which is one of the cheapest smartphones in the country with 4-inch display, 3G connectivity and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
